From what I understand, both Roy and Kidney cannot play in the AHL next season.

Which is stupid, they are both ready to take on the next level.

It's a dumb rule. It's good for the junior clubs, but it sucks for the players themselves.

There should be some sort of exceptions to this.

I don't know... max 1-2 players per year per NHL team?

That would just lead to more corrupt poop than already goes on (looking at you London/Portland/Halifax!)

So Laval got shutout and couldn't score huh?

Maybe, just maybe, the leading scorer of the QJMHL would have helped instead of Kevin Roy?

Yes for Roy

Kidney is a smaller frame. Not a bad idea that he spends another year in the QMJHL

Wonder if Peanut Jr. stays with the Rocket, or if the new management wants to revamp the whole AHL staff...

I thought the same thing. All this stuff about playing experienced guys is BS...Just like last year when Caufield didn't start the playoffs because they wanted to play more experienced guys. I'd rather have a skilled kid that will give his all than an experienced depth guy that will contribute (frank) all.

AHL teams are a necessity, that being said, if a player you consider a "good prospect" spends too much time playing there, it gets worrying.

Also, AHL playoffs success is rarely a sure sign of future NHL success.
