How’s about Dvorak? Kind of underachieving tho. But he’ll win us faceoffs. Not crazy expensive to pay, or to get him probably
- Slimtj100

Wanted him last year but I’d pass on him now. Looks like he has trouble staying healthy and I really thought getting out of AZ would help his offense. He’s missed 64 games the past 3 seasons.

It looks more and more like Debrincat is going to be shopped. If we could get the last year of his contract 50% retained i'd be way more comfortable with Copp being the one centering him and Panarin

it's not a huge ask for CHI to retain $3.2m for one more year

discuss

What is the return going to Chicago? It would be significant.

i'm guessing it starts with kravtsov and/or othmann, probably next year's first, defensive prospect? Everyone saying not to trade next year's first but if it's supposed to be a late one then why the hell not

I mean sure, sign me up. But I don't think that is enough.

Why is Chicago not just going to hold on to him? Even if they are signaling a rebuild they need someone to sell tickets for.

Personally, I’d rather save the first until the deadline again. Use it to upgrade mid season, once you know where the team stands.

he’s great but we get him for one year, nothing after that is guaranteed. He’s gonna get 8 million probably after next year. It’s the same thing with JT Miller.

It’s going to cost way to much in assets to boot, so I say no. A big fat no. It’s nothing against him, he’s a terrific player

We don’t need superstars. We need bottom 6 role players. Preferably bigger guys too imo

I'm now torn about the solution for center. I think Strome dealing with that core injury is not insignificant. It likely caused a number of those mistakes we all saw.

I like Copp because he seems to play bigger and is better at draws.

I still think they sign one of these guys despite the cons each one may carry.

Lol. This is what I don’t get…I killed Chytil all season, and now It seems like I’m the only one who wants to move him up in the lineup He proved himself I thought, to me anyway. And wingers? Really? we need another one of those like we need a hole in the head haha.

Build around these 5 wingers
Kakko
Laf
Kravtsov
Othmann
Cuylle

Don’t trade any of them imo. Yet anyway

I agree with you. But if DeBrincat is available you have to imagine Drury at least kicking the tires.

I still think they need a middle 6 center regardless of their feelings on Chytil and Copp/Strome fits that bill. If Chytil becomes what we all hope they sort of just have 2 2nd lines.

Kravtsov should 100% be Panarins RW next year. After a whole season, reevaluate after that. Roy is big, 6’4 - 210 lbs…I get it he isn’t “sexy”, but maybe we don’t need sexy 🤷🏻‍♂️He’d fit nicely with him because he and Kravtsov will open up space for him. That’s what Panarin needs, space.

I don’t wanna pigeon hole it and say Roy only, but that kind of guy. (Vegas just matches up well for a trade). Someone bigger, 2nd RFA deal, natural center. That’s where we should look for a center. That won’t cost us an arm or leg either

Were already in cap trouble and Debrincat is only gonna hamper it more. Talk about a luxury add, he’s is definitely that
