He showed some flashes, but was mostly a passenger. I have no problem with GG scratching him for a better player than Hunt though, especially if Strome was in such bad shape.
At the breakup he should have something to the effect that he wasn't happy with his play for the reason Kakko was scratched.
I think Ryan had a good explanation the other day.

Drury did offer this hint on Laf possibly shifting to RW: "His play will dictate what line he's on. As you all know, there's nothing guaranteed, but he's a heck of a player w/ a bright future. If he ends up playing on the right in the top 6, I think we’ll be a pretty good team."

I feel like this is all because he hasn’t been very physical. Like shying away from the dirty areas, avoiding contact, weak on board battles, that sort of thing. And that’s why he was scratched

Jan, great article. But I have to say gg sitting kk is not a fireable offense. Granted it was a head scratcher and he should have communicated to kk. It’s not like we scratched zib. Kk is a nice player but a kid his size has habit of playing small at times. Love the kid. He along with miller need to grow a mean streak. Still love the boys and really excited for the future.

No more than anyone else has. But anyone who has the pedigree that she does is most certainly worth a look and I like the team not limiting who they bring in. They did similar with Amanda Kessel. What I also want is full time skating coach, like Barbara Underhill, who was with the team in the past and is now with the Lightning.

Remember when Brian Boyle took skating lessons. He really improved. There are a number of Rangers that can use help in those areas. Laf for one can improve as also kk.
