I remember that game. Stepan did that didn’t he?
Since I really have nothing to gamble on lol to kill time, I’ve been looking for teams that matchup well at center for a trade. So far Mtl and Vegas look like partners. We have to trade one of these prospect D before they leave and get nothing.
And then I tell you guys and drive yas nuts🤷🏻♂️ - Slimtj100
I still think LA is our best young D for a young C trade partner. Would love Turcotte. |

I’d want Turcotte, not sure LA would be willing to deal him. They still have Kopitar Byfield Vilardi Kupari, but not sure Turcotte is the one they’d want to deal. My guess is they’d trade Kupari and Vilardi before Turcotte. |

I didn't know it, but Turcotte had two serious concussions this past season, one recently in the AHL playoffs that ended his season

I was just wondering as I caught up on all these posts...
Do we know that all these King's prospects are still expected to turn out well? |

Didn’t realize O’Reilly was going into the last season of his contract. Im sure the Blues plan to go all out this next season and won’t trade him unless they are out of it, but wouldn’t surprise me to see him test UFA after. They have Thomas and Kyrou listed as C’s, and I doubt O’Reilly wants to be a 3rd liner.
31 now, so wouldn’t want to see more than a 3-4 year deal but he would be a great addition. |

O'Reilly made $7.5 mill last year. He is NOT going to take less than that, he will be looking for a slight raise as this will be his last contract. No way the Blues let him walk, and we can't afford to pay him anyway... |

Concussions are a huge red flag. Especially 2 in one season |

So with evry passing season we all become the armchair GM’s and play, “ what the line up will
Look like next year. With that said here is my line less any free agents outside the 21-22 season
Zib, Laffey, Kakko
Chytil, Panarin, Copp
Goodrow, Krieder, Kravtsov
Motte, Reeves, Blais
With only needing to sign Motte and Copp as UFA and still sign Kakko, we still have some cap $ for a solid Lhanded Dman to play with Trouba.
Fox Lindgren
Schieder Miller
Trouba Player to be named
Again, building from within, saving for a left d and and a backup goalie. Yes, we got younger but we have the pieces and theres no need to win the season, we need to build for the playoffs and when the trade line hits we’ll have options. Again, still a young core and the future looks amazing! Thanks for a great season and thanks for great writes Jan, you make the year a true pleasure being a NYR fan. LGR!!! |

Never know what could happen in a year. Rangers likely won’t have the money that was expected towards Strome tied up and hopefully we get a cap bump after the positive revenue news.
Blues might not be able to afford him either, and at the end of the day he has to sign on the dotted line. |

I wonder if Vilardi is the guy LA trades. Not sure how much value he has and I know his draft year he had those back issues but depending on the price he might not be bad to take a look at. Maybe Nils and Berard would get it done? He spent most of the time in the AHL last year where he was a ppg and is really getting to the point where he has to prove he has enough to be an NHL player. |

Rangers need to acquire a NATURAL center, unless Copp is the center (he isn’t a natural center tho). None of these maybe he’s a center someday, maybe he’ll blossom into one. We already have Chytil who is in that boat. Goodrow can’t center the 3rd line, he needs only go there in a pinch.
Rangers need to find a way to have a 4th line of Motte Goodrow and Blais. That would be the best in the league imo (being healthy of course) and we’d be as deep as any group of forwards across the NHL. (Reaves and Hunt being the extras) |

Rangers just signed Rydahl to presumably replace Rooney as our 4th line center. I believe the organization wants Goodrow on the 3rd line... |

Nothing is a given. They signed him to give him an opportunity. Remember lindqvist and meskanen? |

Goodrow on the 4th line with the ability to move up in the lineup is ideal. |

I just don’t know what to expect in Nils trade. I’m not sure we’d do much better than Poehling. He’s cheap too, add to the center depth. They have Jake Evans too, hes probably a better player. I want size for Panarins center, that would make it easier for him |
