Then again, the draft could bring more hostility when people had a pick. It's a never-ending theme.

I would not be shocked if he gets moved and becomes a 65 point player

very under rated 2 way player and the thought of him and cozens on the same line is scary

- homiedclown

His predicted next contract is a bridge 2 year deal for $4M per, but it could also be 3 years at $5M per.

I believe he has 4 seasons remaining before becoming a UFA.

The 2 year deal makes a lot of sense.

Very curious what Carolina would want back in a deal.

"...they have $19.4 million in cap room and key players such as Vincent Trocheck, Nino Niederreiter and Tony DeAngelo are in need of new contracts. They probably won’t want to take back much salary unless the return is an affordable replacement for one of those three."

What prospect/pick do you give up?

for Necas.

Start at 16OA see if they are willing to accept that, if not, build from there.

Wonder why he "fell out of favor" w Rod the bod. If it's a work ethic thing, that scares me off a bit.

Uncle ion, would/ does it bother you if the Sabres are thinking of picking another college bound player with any of our 1st round picks?

entitled is right
- SabresFaninIndiana

Entitled- is defined as having a legal right to something, or giving someone a legal right. When you have the legal right to be on a property, this is an example of a time when you are entitled to be there.

Why would you sensor a member of our board?

Kinda acting entitled - apple

When the Canes had interest in Eichel, the Sabres asked for Necas and Jarvis and were told NO.

Bet the Canes wish they had that opportunity back (if Necas is actually on the block).

Wonder why they're down on Necas. He's a flashier offensive player, his defense sucks and I think he had a down development year. Wonder if we or a team can buy the dip.

Idk about that. Jarvis just put up 17/23 for 40 in 68 as a rookie on a defense first team. Looking like the real deal. And Necas will still return quality. I bet they're ok with it.

Jarvis had a very strong season. I could see why they'd be hesitant to give him up. Stronger than any season by Necas.

It depends, and so many factors.
Certainly the 3 who haven't signed is justified cause to rethink the strategy.
College is great in that the team retains their rights for a year or two longer, thereby enabling longer development time. The downside is what we are seeing now with those 3.

The higher the draft selection, the higher the risk to the team (although Levi was what a 7th), so it is more a consideration I would guess if it is a choice between two or three relatively even prospects.

The other thing is, become an NHL team/organization that is a destination and a strong record of development/graduation of prospects ... hopefully that reduces the risk of players second guessing if they want to join that team.

Long story short, it is a factor to be weighed.

We'll see how he responds to Cassidy. Is seven the magic number? 🤣 Or is it 6? I've lost count.
