Haha nice. I've been to a few Ozzfests and 97 was still the best lineup to me. Manson, Pantera, Type O Negative, Fear Factory, Ozzy with this band and then with Sabbath. I saw them in Giants Stadium. When Pantera came on people were jumping over the all from the seats to get to the standing area and the cops and security chased everyone back up, but when Sabbath came on so many people were rushing the field that the cops gave up. Ozzfest was never allowed back at Giants Stadium after that. - Rinosaur
Pantera is the one band I regret I never got to see. I was too stuck in my "If it's not punk and hardcore, I don't care" era to see them before it was too late.
Dio Sabbath was tremendous. Only 2 studio albums unfortunately. Purple isn't metal either. I'm a big Ritchie Blackmore fan. His later Rainbow work suck though. - madmike71
I'd argue that Deep Purple was at least proto-metal. Listen to Highway Star; add some more distortion and you've got Iron Maiden. I'm not big Rainbow fan, but Man on the Silver Mountain is fantastic. |

There's a difference between calling bands like Sabbath, Zeppelin, Purple, etc.... metal bands and saying they influenced metal.
Bowie was not industrial or a metal, but he definitely was a huge influence different parts of those genres. |

I got to see Pantera twice and both times they were just amazing. I saw them at Ozzfest 97 and then a few years later they opened for Sabbath.

Yeah I see a lot of Saucy going around on ACGMs on CapFriendly. Don't understand the fascination. - j.boyd919
He is a big, physical defenceman with some offensive upside. I think that is why many want to see him here. I like him as a player but we have so many things to sort out on the LD side that I'm not sure how it would all come together.

I didn't pay much attention to him lately, but in Minnesota he had a nice run filling in on the 2nd pair on both left and right sides. So not a bad 4-5 defenseman with that versatility. We just need to subtract on D not add |

I'd be fine to move out Petts and Dumo, then replace them with Soucy and POJ.

A Soucy type would be an ideal 2nd pair Dman for Pitt. He’s big, good price, and would be a good support for someone like Marino who can try and get a little more offence in his game.
Essentially a manly non mouth breathing version of Petterson for quite a bit cheaper. |

And that I could see doing. Maybe working out a Pettersson for Soucy trade since Pettersson does have the good analytics.
I'm scared of Matteson as the top LD without much safety net myself but oh well. |

I do not like metal. I understand it as musically impressive arrangements but the way the sound actually comes out is not for me. |

I’d rather have Gudas. Could trade Petterson for Gudas straight up and get cap savings and a superior player all in one. |

You'd rather a lesser defenseman. I'm not surprised.

Gudas is also RH, I’m not sure if he plays the left side. He’s listed as RD in capfriendly. |

On a random note, I shelled out some dough to try this Rye that is unreal. Sagamore Double Oak Rye. $56, but well worth it. I know that's not really that much anymore with how expensive Rye and Bourbon has gotten over the last few years, but still. Worth it. |

I had some friends over for my Bday this weekend and smoked a brisket. A bunch of friends brought be bottles of booze. Got a bottle of Basil Hayden’s, Wild Turkey Rare Breed, Buffalo Trace, Breckinridge Bourbon, and Tin Cup
I haven’t tried Sagamore yet. It’s on my list. I want to try Wyoming Whiskeys Bourbon too.
Also on Bourbon — have you had Sirop de SaiZon simple syrup yet? It’s produced in New Orleans and has a heavier vanilla/molasses/nuttiness to it. I’ve been making my OFs with that and Orange Cream bitters and they’ve been out of this world. |

Wild Turkey is easily the most underrated bourbon there is. How is Tin Cup? The bottle looks like a gimmick, so I've been hesitant to try it.

It’s decent. I prefer 1792 or Buffalo Trace.
Dunno if you saw my edit but…

I didn't see that edit. That sounds amazing. I will definitely look for that. Who makes the orange cream bitters?

Bittermens for the bitters, it’s like a blue bottle with an eye dropper.
You can snag both on Amazon.
It’s probably my favorite simple syrup/OF mix
After that it’s a toss up between st Augustine’s and bittermilks OF mix. |
