on va se le dire, c'est quand même pas trop fort la AHL si un club comme Laval atteint le final 4. je comprends que tous les bons jeunes, de toutes les équipes, font le saut dans la LNH rapidement pour cause de cap salarial, mais ca parait sur la qualité du produit en bas. on se retrouve avec des Paquette pis des Smith-Pelly.

To a certain extent, it has always been like that.

Unless you have a club, like Detroit in the 90s/early 00s that kept all their prospects in the AHL forever, it is always going to be a transitionary league.

And with the cap now, "veteran" guys on cheap 2-way contracts that can be called up to fill in a few games here or there. IF they are lost on waivers, no one cares.
