Well a lot of Montreal fans don’t have a clue about hockey either…
- TurdFergeson

of course. but hockey is the center of attention in MTL and it has been basically since the league's very beginnings, which isn't the case in TB, so it makes sense that there would be a greater number of knowledgeable fans... it doesn't make them necessarily "better" or whatever, it's just a result of the different landscapes for professional sports.

This kind of thought is still simplistic and fallible in its conception.

Plus, you'll need to more accurately classify the kind of knowledge you're specifying. For example, if you mean knowledge of ancient history (versus current events), then I wouldn't gainsay that line of thinking.

I don't think we need to establish any scientific definitions here lol, and it's totally fine if you see things differently than I do, but to me "knowledgeable" simply means closely following the team and/or the sport in general, being aware of the history but also what's currently going on surrounding the organization, and other basic stuff like being familiar with the rules and details about how the game is played (although one could argue the league's representatives are often themselves confused about this lol....). so to me it doesn't automatically equate to being a smarter fan, for example you can be very knowledgeable and still come up with nonsensical trade proposals...

Oh...

You mean fanatical fans rather than normal or casual fans (regardless of any intellectual disposition). I can't disagree with that!

Col v TB is probably the final that should be happening.

I pick TB, simply because of the goaltending.

THREE-PEAT!

Gonna happen.

But I would not mind if TB loses, solely so that we can see Perry (frank) over another team.

so you think Perry (frank)ed the habs over..? personally I didn't have any issues with him, as a matter of fact I wouldn't have minded if he had stayed another year or 2.

Im hoping they hang on to him u need some vets to show the way and tbh i dont think his contract will be very appealing to a lot of teams…

The way Ouellet is playing, I think he will just (frank) up the kids…

The AHL is a manufacture for 3rd and 4th liners or bottom d guys.

Some top talent like Pacioretty or Caufield or Subban can play some games or a year max but when you are highly talented, you should not spend to much time in that League…

Goalies would the only exception to what I am just saying…

Can you define the concepts of "evening" and "mass" and quantify precisely what you mean by "everyone" ?

Perry is the living and breathing epitome of a cup losing curse.

He can cement his legacy with a TB loss.

You might want to look at some of the Red Wings top players over the years and how they did develop in the AHL. Making the jump straight from juniors to the NHL shouldn't be the norm. you want to get to a place where you feel comfortable that your prospects will develop with the farm team.
