One thing on Vatrano…I could see him doing a one year deal with the Rangers. He’s got a better chance to hit a jackpot type contract if he has a good year with Zib and Kreider, for a full season. Maybe he gets 30 goals and he can get to a point where he gets 6 mill a season, with term. Betting on himself type of thing. I doubt he’d get a crazy deal just yet. Trying to find a way to keep him and I think that’s the best way

100%. It’ll be tough to see it end, either tomorrow or whenever. Been so much fun seeing the rise of this team. So many positives all season long. If you ain’t proud of this group you should root somewhere else because this the best season they’ve had since 1994, all things considered. The steps that they’ve taken was well beyond my expectations for this year, and hope most people feel that way because they should.

Deep down I’m terrified of what the Avs could potentially do to us in a series so that’s easing the pain of last night for sure. For me anyway lol

I feel that this is going to be a spring board for young players like Lafreniere and Chytil and Miller. If they take off next year, look out. Add that to an elite defenseman and some elite forwards you already have with elite goaltending. Win or lose in this series or the next. As a Flyers fan, I envy that.

One thing Strome will do is be a wiener after the whistle. Most of Tampa’s players would jab , face wash of wack a ranger after the play was dead . Strome , laff , Lindgren and a bit by Vatrano we’re the only rangers being a wiener. Nothing much from Reaves , Motte , Goodrow of Kreider. The rangers barely got in the face of the bolts after whistles. Tampa would head to shesterkin after every stop he made just to stand in front of him trying to piss him off. Christ they poked him in the back of the leg with zero pushback, I thought the rangers were spouse to be tougher to play against but I haven’t seen it this series

I don't despise Chytil any more, Strome has replaced him. Bean Dip and I were fully aboard the Strome train although I disembarked at the last stop.

As for Miller

He has a nmc that becomes a 15 team no trade clause in 2024. He’s here for two more years no doubt. Brought it up bc I think they need two of Robertson nils or jones here to replace braun and eventually him

You take any defenseman in the league, whether they are Makar/Hedman/whoever, they all make mistakes out there. What he does for this team right now is invaluable. He eats the most minutes against the best of the best. We’d have been ousted long ago without him.

I wasn’t his biggest fan when we got him but after awhile you realize how important the kind of player he is. Ill tell ya one thing, without him Kandre doesn’t develop into the player he’s becoming

Trouba does make some bone-headed moves that usually end up in a turnover or penalty. I'll take the occasional gaffe for everything else he does on the ice or locker room.

This was purely a cap post. I mentioned Kreider or trouba. Unfortunately one of them will have to be moved at some point or bought out. It’s very well known I don’t like troubas game but that’s not the point of this post
