There is nothing like attending a playoff hockey game. Even more so a Game 7 game. It's amazing.
And yea...your friend picked one of the best games to attend. Nothing aside from a Stanley Cup game will beat that. - NYRCeph
Those two years were incredible being at the Garden but I have to tell you that neither 2014 nor 2015 compare to what is going on at the MSG this playoff year. The buzz is just so much different. Panarin's OT winner was louder and more sustained than Stepans.

I don't think anybody here (regardless of allegiance) expected a sweep or short series.
We are getting what we all hoped/feared we would get - a long slog of a series.
I just hope attrition doesn't soften up the victor so much that the Avs have an easy time in the final. Both the Rags and the Bolts are getting pretty banged up by now.

Yep. His play begs the question, is he hurt? Or are we paying $11.6M/yr for someone who can't transition his game for the playoffs? - Tonybere
In his career, 44 career playoff points in 48 games (0.92 Pts/GP). This year, 16 points in 18 games (0.89 Pts/GP). Pretty much his norm, although he's never gone past the 10 game mark before. Not to say he can't up his play in the coming games, but he's pretty much playing to his norm thus far. |

Panarin's point production isn't the issue...its the turnovers and what he's doing, or rather, not doing, w/out the puck |

Its his overall 5v5 play in which he isnt generating anything but Oogatz!!! Throw in his turnovers and well, its pretty disappointing!!
BUT with that being said, the series is far from over and he can still be a hero!! If not, then maybe he can use this experience to help him in the following years to come!! |

I feel like people want him to be something he isn’t. He’s tiny. He’s like 180lbs soaking wet. He’s not going into the corners and drilling people all night lol. That’s probably why hes hurt in the first place. Say whatever you want about his defense or liabilities, but without him the PP isn’t nearly as good as it is. He’s the engine on it because he’s so dangerous with the puck. And without the PP being so good where would they be now? Nowhere. He’s money is made on the PP and it makes us an extremely lethal team to face.
He’s still worth every single penny |

Don't expect him to be crushing people, but he can do a little more in corners, d zone, and reduce his turnovers. The turnovers with the playmaker that he is are inevitable, but the ones in neutral zone/blue lines can kill.

I mean he won a series with a great shot, and if you remember that PP was almost over. And at that point we probably lose all momentum and are bounced soon after. Thankfully he was there in that moment.
He got alot of leeway from me for that goal tho it was an enormous goal for the franchise imo |

I get what you're saying and I don't fully disagree, but in the regular season Panarin scored 48 5v5 points in 75 games (0.64 per game). He had 51 5v5 giveaways (0.68 per game) and 48 5v5 takeaways (0.64 per game).
In the playoffs he has 7 5v5 points in 18 games (0.39 per game). He has 32 giveaways (1.78 per game) and 11 takeaways (0.61).
At 5v5 his production has halved, his giveaways have more than doubled and his takeaways have remained consistent. There's no doubt he's still a huge factor on the PP, and anyone calling for him to be sat is crazy considering who would be replacing him, but I think the criticism is warranted to some degree.
While we need him to keep producing on the PP, that can't be his only form of production. PP specialists make way less than $11.5M per year. We need him to produce 5v5 also, considering 85% of his ice time in the regular season and playoffs have come at 5v5.
He's still dangerous and I do think he's banged up, but to beat Tampa or Colorado we need regular season Panarin |

Point wise he’s fine. He just has to cut out the same back hand pass he does 70 times a game to the opposing team. He’s telegraphing it at this point. I rather him shoot on her or start the cycle |

My problem with Panarin are the over extended shifts. In the playoffs you have to keep shifts shorter. He just never wants to go to the bench |

Keenan left Kovalev out for 5 minutes remember that? Lol
I get the frustration with him. I’ve banged my hand on the bed or whatever yelling at him too But at any moment he can strike in a big way and in a big spot. He’s the kind of guy that you deal with making mistakes and stuff. |

I have to disagree with you on that. He is making 11.6 million bucks, the second highest player in the league, he has to find a way to produce more 5v5. This is his first year in the playoffs with this team so hopefully he can figure it out. If not this year then next year. |

He needs space to really do what he does well, and space gets so limited during the playoffs. I would try and maybe get him a big and strong linemate. He’s played with Strome for awhile now who is just as small. Someone to open up space for him. Idk maybe Copp and Kravtsov 👀 next year obviously. Just saying I think this has alot to do with it. I just worry that the playoffs aren’t made for his body type. |

Saw today that this will be the 1st time since 1979 that there will not be a one-time team mate of Jaromir Jagr's in the Cup final! That's pretty nuts!
Any guesses who it was that just got eliminated that fit the criteria????? |

I don't know if I can go that far. I know we're all disappointed that they didn't show up with their A game. But, at the same time that we are female doging about no one giving any respect to the Rangers, we aren't giving any to Tampa. They played a real good game and we have seen first hand how a team driving the action can result in their opponent not getting any traction to push back.
You don't have to look too hard in these playoffs to find examples of home ice advantage really helping in-game and in-series. - Tonybere
Rangers had game three in this series -- it was theirs to lose -- and they lost it, just like game one of the Canes series. If they would play with a bit of killer-instinct they'd be tough to beat. |

Panarin is the same size and Point and Kucherov who have dominated playoffs the past two years. He has the ability to do it. It could be an injury or just getting used to playoff style hockey. Like you said, he's made some huge plays for us so far this playoffs but asking from more for a guy that gets paid what he does isn't an unfair ask. |

I found Derek Ryan was with him in Calgary and stopped there.
Side note: was anyone aware that Derick Brassard is playing in Edmonton???? |
