I won't crash your hopes and dreams .

Just to be clear, because there seems to be confusion, I don't believe the Sabres will do any of this, as I said in the blog. I'm fully aware we're riding the vibes train. Next stop Johnny Boychuk

tiger turned down a billion dollars to join them
- homiedclown

Tiger went for it all and negotiations crashed like a VW on a tight corner. Tiger wanted the billion in coin and 19 holes a day in all tournaments. 18 on the course and 1 in his hotel room.

I don't need him backing up cash trucks to free agents but i need him to do things externally or he's not doing his (frank)ing job.

I'm getting poop on for the Cernak offer. Think we may need to really up the ante or move on.
- TheSabresTaco

Really hate to do it, but the Bjork might push the scales.

I like when years later we crucify a GM for trading a late first for a young goalie (def a bad move) and a few years later we want to trade a mid first AND other pieces for a 28 year old goalie 🤢🤢

Continue to draft. Let guys earn their role. Use that plethora of cap space to sign guys guys to one year deals. I am extremely happy how Adam’s is building a team and not rushing/forcing things.

Couple good posts Tony... hope you're well....

Wonder if ownership rushes things along ... a bit?

Winning is contagious and the Bill's are gonna be steam rolling teams.

Kyvyvyv definitely has Terry's ear, but when the prospects are shocked at meeting ownership during draft interviews, this team is important to terry.

I'm pretty sure we roll out cheap with a couple upgrades, but terry the fan may be eyeing the Bruins yearly playoff spot.

Sabres should be better than:

Ottawa
Detroit
Habs
NJ
Phili

And could catch the islanders, and bruins with new coaches. Columbus seams catchable too....

On a goalie that hadn't done anything, not that I would do it, but there's a bit of a difference this time around.

The Bruins are almost in the same boat as Tom Brady. Every year, we think this is the one where they finally disappear, and every year they just don't. I am not going to predict them to die until they're actually dead.

If they roll into the season without Bergeron, McAvoy, Marchand and Grzelcyk, and a coach who is actually good, that's a big time yikes.

They DO need a goalie. It can't be UPL and Subban (or even Anderson). What kind of message does that send the skaters?

I don't care if it's Cam Talbot, but get a friggin' goaltender that can at least share the crease with UPL.

Haven't we all learned by now to lower our expectations?

Both Gerbe and 89 have basically said they're not going "big game hunting".

I expect a goalie, a vet D and either they get a middle 6 F or bring a guy like Vinnie back.

It is what it is.

- Powerslave

Yep.
Been saying it for awhile based on a string of Adams comments/interviews.
Specifically about the F group...so many guys, so many unanswered questions that trading away a talent seems premature for this season. If they are bent on retaining Vinnie it further complicates the integration of Quinn and Peterka.

G and D are the likely moves he makes. I'll be disappointed if Anderson is the primary G move he makes for the big club...he might be a great mentor for UPL, sure...but his availability for regular duty during the season seems to be a pretty big risk.

That's a great analogy 19.

Just looking at the playoff point gap and who the Sabres could realistically catch.

Bruins fired Cassidy, fighting with bergeron and Marchant is gonna miss part of the season.

Now's the time

Agreed. He'll get that vet D.

Hoping Anderson calls it a (very good) career. But on the other hand, I just hope that Subban isn't "plan B" 🤮

I agree winning is contagious. But I bet Terry liked what he saw in team chemistry and development. I don’t think he’s going to demand selling multiple 1sts for late 20 year olds to try and eek out a playoff appearance this year.

It will happen soon anyway just by drafting a development. Fill the weaknesses in FA on short term deals

has johnson confirmed he is going back to school?

side note assuming he does go back to school does being behind dahlin and power on the depth chart force his hand to be a free agent in 14 months

I have always thought this would be the reason he would walk if he did, rather than not wanting to play for this team, or trying to play for his dad or whatever that connection is.
