I'm just not buying the vibe squad narrative that the Sabres are selling. They need actually good players. Sure, the Bills turned their culture around, but the Bills also have Josh Allen. The Sabres do not have Josh Allen.

Amazing courses too

The PGA has tight buttholes today. I wonder how they feel about screwing Trump's courses now.

- lacaprup

Even that's contrived. The PGA Tour has always been about control. The real reason they didn't want to hold events on Trump's courses, or any other private courses for that matter, is because they don't own them. The majority of PGA Tour events are held on PGA-owned golf courses, and they wanted to keep it that way. Just like Mickelson's comments about doing business with the Saudis, the PGA Tour could make moves to maintain the most control it possibly could over their events, while virtue signaling at the same time, when it reality, they couldn't care less about any of that stuff (insert comment about old white men here). It was seemingly a win-win for them until certain players are seemingly calling their bluff. I just wonder if this league can survive long term. That's a lot of money to be throwing around with no television coverage.

personally I'm not a huge fan of the moves, but I absolutely agree that the vibes train need fuel, and without it, it's coming to a halt.

bryson and a third?

- homiedclown

Greg Norman and certain rich investors from the middle east (i.e. Saudi Arabia) are forming a "rival" golf league to the PGA Tour. They're offering lucrative appearance fees to get high profile players to play. Dustin Johnson, for instance, got $125 million. They supposedly offered Tiger Woods a hell of a lot more than that but he turned it down. They're also offering a minimum $25 million purse for each event (the PGA Tour's biggest purse is around $20 million for The PLAYERS in May). The rationale is the potential to earn bigger prize money to play far fewer events, and have more free time to spend with your family or do whatever else you want.

The PGA Tour responded by saying anybody who joins that league would be levied severe penalties, and possible lifetime bans from the tour. It hasn't deterred people like Dustin Johnson, Sergio Garcia, and others from going. It sounds like an empty threat at this point. Basically, the PGA Tour is acting all butthurt at the potential of competition to its product.

Maybe the Sabres have a version of ja17, (1st 2 years josh) where nate peterman got some early play considerations?

Our ja17 could be upl or even dahlin.

A young guy steps up and becomes a superstar, like tall timber tage?

- TheSabresTaco

LIV tour is backed by the Saudis

Lots of money
3 rounds instead of 4

they want it to be a global league

they also have team even and individual for same tournament

https://thegolfnewsnet.co...nd-playoff-format-126335/

PGA has no problem with players crossing over to Europe tour as long as they play so many PGA events this year

PGA also wants total control saying if you play in a LIV event we may remove your tour card and black list you

so to sum it up, PGA wants to squash the LIV tour yet continue to embrace other tours that play outside of America

Funny part is, the majority of the LIV events will be in the US.
