and apparently Montreal is a "solid possibility" for Evander Kane?

he'd be such a good example for the younger guys...

Should be a fun event either way. Habs with the first overall pick and another first round pick later on. It could take many years before the draft is in mtl once again.

I expect the tickets to go really fast...

It's a tradition. I'm not sure people know why they are boing at this point.

you mean, booing Hughes if Wright isn't picked..? yeah it would be dumb, normally for a draft you need to let things play out a bit before dumping on a decision like that.

Yes but that was only to have someone murder her fat, drunk, cheating husband so you can give her a free pass on that one no?

I was talking about booing Hughes if he picked anyone other than Wright.

Booing Bettman is now part of the fun, even he likes it.

I'm guessing it's a rotation around the league, so maybe in 30 years..?

Last time in Montreal was in 2009.

I think the league might like going at places where they can sell an entire arena for a draft instead of going to Florida or Arizona where people won't care.

RDS wrote something on Cutter Gauthier. Seems like Brunet started something.

Then again, it's pretty much the same thing every year.

We will be in a better position to judge 5 years from now.

The problem with 5-year plans is you. have to wait 5-years to see if it worked....

yeah, Hughes is surely smart enough to stay away, especially when you're trying to build a new team culture.

If the Habs could grab Wright this year and lucked out next year with Fantilli....damn, we would be in a great position for that reset/rebuild.

Not greedy with Bedard or Michkov....plus Fantilli has skill and size

The more times goes by, the more I am happy with this HuGo leadership team... I really like what they are saying and trying to do. The next 13 months will be kinda fun to watch off the ice, but maybe not so much, on the ice.
