It's disappointing because I've listened to some of his conversations and he's very intelligent and articulate, but he's increasingly shown no discernment politically, and his spiritual/recovery stuff is sadly infected by a lot of woo woo voodoo. But conspiracy content and woo woo drive clicks these days.

This is exactly why it's frowned upon for celebrities to publicly break 12 Step anonymity as he's done, because when they subsequently publicly go off the rails that's all anyone remembers.

I agree with all of your points. And you’re correct, he can be very articulate, bright, and is gifted with a silver tongue, but he absolutely goes off the deep end.

Perhaps your right that he’s going off the rails. But then again, people are making millions doing what he’s doing, and frankly it might actually be both an easier and better revenue stream than his other ventures, and he can do it from anywhere without travel being an obstacle.

Maybe he knows exactly what he’s doing, and capitalizing on the reactionary public, as we as a people are certainly changing with the strong influence of social media.

What about Marner and a 2023 third for Chychrun and a 2022 second rounder? (Yotes have 4) Saves Leafs over 6M in cap space to get Mikheyev signed. The guy has wheels and I think he's a breakout candidate. It's possible I don't watch the buds enough (how is that possible) to appreciate what Marner and his 10.9M brings to the team. I'd rather a stud D-man

You're right, it's very possible that it's all purely a calculated business move. He did significantly increase his audience by appealing to the lunatic fringe, because although they are a minority, all they do is click youtube videos.

It's definitely disturbing what social media algorithm filter bubbles are doing, and shills feeding that to profit off it are (frank)ed.

Marner is not going anywhere and if trade to Arizona, they would need to add multiple 2nd rounders, heck skip those, and a 1st (Canes) and Arizona's 2nd round pick coming back to the Leafs with Chychrun.
