Ya about a month ago Drury said he spoke to his camp and they both agreed to have him come to camp and compete for a spot. If things weren’t left off the way they were previously I’m sure he’d be an option right now, not sure how the locker room would feel if he just came walking in in the middle of the ECF after he refused to put the work in (AHL to start the season) to get here. I think we have a pretty professional group and they’d all say they welcome him if he can help the team but I’m sure in their heads they’d be saying something different

Watching the oilers and seeing their deficiencies, one is in goal- Smith is still good but old, and one is a PP qb. We need center depth. Ryan McLoed is a nice player for them and a true center we could use to replace Rooney (we love Rooney but hes just not an every game player-make Rooney and Reaves the 13/14 forward)... McLeod is RFA so prob cost like 1.5-2 mill

So maybe a trade with them in the summah..Nils, Georgy for McLeod. If they want Jones I think we say no

The oilers could definitely use a goalie and some help defensively. Jones isn’t untouchable, Robertson is the next Schneider. They were paired up together in Hartford and he’s another big body that plays physical.

You’d have to figure one of these D prospects gets traded, Nils would be the leader in the clubhouse to be moved, being RH

Another twin tower pair with Schneider and Robertson is definitely appealing. Whatever happens Nemeth needs to go. He’s blocking one of them, and he sucks, and he taking cap space needed elsewhere. Drurys only boneheaded decision imo.
