I think every team feels that way when they lose. Just need more them to play the way they did the 1st 2 games. I just hope Gallant leaves the kid line together.

I'd feel better if we were beaten by a clearly better team. Again, not taking anything away from Tampa, but I don't think they did anything particularly special to poop is down. It was their effort that beat us. It's frustrating seeing what this team is capable of and not sniffing those expectations in these losses.

Yes, that one call is on him. No argument there. But that one call didn't lose the game.

Ur a bozo man, Trouba has turned the momentum in how many games this postseason? Did he have a bad game? Ya. But ur hatred for him is ridiculous.
- nyrangers9479

I never said I hate trouba. He just always has the costly mistake and shouldn’t be on the pp2 anymore. Great game last game from him tho.

I think Tampa were clearly the faster more aggressive team today. Igor probably kept that game closer than it should have been. I get what you are saying though. Its not about saying Tampa isn't good, but the Rangers have been playing great so its kind of a let down when they lose.

Losing strome was rough. It took them 50 shots to win. Need to adjust next game and hope strome can play

Stromes done from what I saw, I don’t expect him the rest of the series but hope I’m wrong

I'm gonna say it now. Vasi and Shesterkin are the two best goalies in the league right now. If the Rangers beat the Bolts, I think they can beat Edmonton or Colorado handily. The Rags are giving Vasi fits, so imagine what they could do to Mike F-ing Smith or Colorado's backup.

I'm relieved the Lightning won this game, but I honestly don't feel triumphant about it. It took almost 50 shots and a last minute clutch goal to keep this from going to sudden death. I was feeling pretty empty when the Rangers had that 2-0 lead. I almost turned the game off, but I could sense the Bolts starting to push, so I am glad I kept it on.

Couple of notes from the Tampa perspective :

1) Man, we miss Point. Point is one of the best on the Bolts at entering the offensive zone with control. Him and Kucherov are the only two Bolts who can reliably enter the zone without dumping the puck or coughing up possession. The Lightning offense looks discombobulated without him. It allows the opposing line to key on Kucherov and the result is a lot of dump and chase from Tampa. Not their best style.

2) Shesterkin is money. Lightning are facing a Vasi clone for the first time. No cheating or slacking. You gotta get in this guy's face or just pepper the jesus out of him.

3) Play Trouba more.

4) Maroon must have paid off the officials. He's been teacher's pet in this series.

Colorado has firepower, but I'm suspect of their goaltending and they haven't faced a goalie like Shesterkin or Vasi yet in these playoffs.

I don't care that Tampa won this game. What's gonna piss me off is all the media leg humping of Tampa that will now commence

Have you seen what they are doing to Oil offense?

Not suggesting NYR couldn't beat the Avs. But to use the word handily is over-reach IMO.

Rangers have a real legit shot at the cup so we’re really pulling for you. It makes me feel dirty but I’m hoping the lightning find a way to win.

I think it would have been foolish to think we would have swept Tampa and this far in the playoffs. The Rangers were bound to lose one. Tampa stepped up and won the 3rd period. So what. They can regroup and learn to win in Tampa.
I think the fingerpointing and vilifying Trouba or one play or that play is at this stage a little much. They didn't play well in the 3rd. Fix it, move on and win the series. The Rangers have done it all playoffs.

You may have to take a shower after that post. That's equivalent to poopting your self on a ferris wheel that is stopped to let on a handicapped person. Can't take it back.

The 1st 2 penalties on Trouba were whatever. Could’ve been called, but often aren’t. The 3rd on the PP was really annoying. Just not sure he belongs there other than having a booming shot. That’s where eventually having a guy like Jones grow into that PP2 QB gives the Rangers a true 1-2 punch.

Annoying loss, but still in a good spot. My poor dog ran upstairs and hid under the bed, gonna have to give him lots of treats to get back on his good side.

Ok, maybe "handily" is a stretch, but I am pretty impressed so far by Shesterkin in particular. He's the real deal. I don't get the feeling he is a one-hit-wonder. I think he's going to be a problem (for other teams) for a long time to come. I don't like the idea that the Bolts have to win 3 more against him when the rest of his team is playing this good in front of him. It would be different if they were hanging Shesterkin out to dry in every game, but with the exception of the third period in tonight's game, they have done a good job of keeping the slot clear, limiting rebound chances, and keeping Tampa's shots to the outside.

I can't say I watch of lot of West games or Avs games, but a gimpy Kuemper and Francouz don't inspire terror in guys like Kucherov/Stamkos or Breadman/Zib/Kreider.

I guess it's safe to put the Oilers to bed. I don't think they are going to pull off a historic series comeback riding on Mike F-ing Smith. I just hope McJesus can steal a game or two and drag out the series.

Yeah, Fox had some horrendous giveaways, Zib horrible coverage on the go ahead goal. No one wanting to shoot with the goalie pulled. The whole team was not good. Tampa was the way better team. On to game 4
- mdw7413

If you would have told us after 3 games the Rangers had a 2-1 series lead, 100% of the Rangers fan base would have signed up for that prior to the series starting

Just need a response next game

Imo point is a top 5 forward in the league and top 10 player. Lighting can win at anytime. Once the rangers took those penalties and lost strome it was going to be tough. If the rangers win the next game they have a real shot to win at home in 5
