We have just Schneider to take over his spot, and I dont think hes quite ready yet. The Rangers stand to set their defense back a year or 2 losing Trouba.

We have 15m in cap space, it will be tough but I believe doable to keep everyone but Strome.

If you guys can figure that out and with Igor, could be fun to watch

Didn’t there used to be an active oiler community on here? They have one of the most dead blogs which is surprising given they are a Canadian team in the WCF.

Fun times for sure. We have many seasons of this ahead of us. To me that’s the craziest part. This is only the first year

I was talking to someone this morning and we just looked at each other and laughed. We both just can’t believe what they’re doing already, and so well so early in their careers. The kids are becoming men and really good hockey players right before our eyes.

It's almost like Gorton and JD had a plan. Sucks they didn't get to see it through but it seems like Drury was the last piece of the puzzle for building this team

Offseason is gonna be interesting for you guys, only have 14 contracts signed with what 13 or so mill in space, you guys figure that out and watch out for the Rangers for 5yrs atleast

I don’t think I’ll ever fully understand why they were let go. Jmo, but It’s a crime JD isn’t here still. It is what it is tho. Drury has been great and I haven’t had a problem with him at all yet really

Teams will start doing the ranger model. Sending that letter was a big, and correct decision. True transparency and honesty with the fans and they’ve backed it up

A split is ideal. I would prefer if they lose a game in Tampa that it be game 3. Coming back home after a win in game 4 at Tampa could be all they need.

All I got from this is that you want us to lose the next game.

It will not be simple, for sure. But, I think we can be complete again next year. As others stated, probably have to move on from Strome. Have to include a high pick or prospect to dump Nemeth for cap savings. Replace him with Zach Jones. Bye bye Georgiev, replaced with $1M max. back up. That's an extra 3 million or so.

This is my attempt at not angering the powers that be. I want a sweep but is that realistic?

I’d say we want to sweep the bolts, but then we might be rusty??

All the contracts are like +/- a couple hundred thousand. Wedgewood I think would be an ideal pick up for us as a back up, but we could end up going the cheaper route for someone who will take league minimum. Who knows. However one thing is evident, the kid line is probably not going anywhere and needs to be put into the spotlight.

Only if Edmonton finds their game. That series might be a sweep.

I don’t think it matters how fast the series ends, espn has already been advertising the Stanley cup final starts June 18th
