Now the opponent has to beat us 4 out of 5 games. That is def a steep climb to have in front of you, especially against Shesty. Now you have all these other things clicking to go along with him and it’s looks that much more daunting.

The thing that stuck out for me is being patient with the puck especially in our zone. Instead of just swinging it around the boards hoping for a winger to chip it out, they are controlling it behind their own net while Tampa forechecks. Really just outstanding hockey IQ from the top 4 D

I think it started in the room after game 5 vs pens. Trouba hit on Sid and then 3 goals right after that. 11 games since that one they’ve been the better team in probably 9 of them

I feel like that game catapulted them to where we are now. They overcame the shell shocking in Pittsburgh games 3 and 4, and haven’t looked back

Yes it is quite comforting

He gets credit for getting past those Pittsburgh games too. He was brutal but the team in front left him out to dry often. Nemeth definitely was the main culprit during that cluster(frank)

As long as the shots keep hitting the net, theres no reason to change it. If anything maybe give the kids line some time on the PP since they are really clicking, gotta strike that iron while its hot.
