see? another example of a #1 ranked prospect drafted 1st who didn,t end up the best player years later.

yes fido, but these extreme examples are more the exception than the norm, usually the "consensus players" do turn out to be very good, even if they aren't the best players of their draft.

unfortunately, even with all the technological advancements, the draft still hasn't become an exact science... perhaps one day lol

I can't comment much on the available players (draft) as I haven't seen any of them play.

But from what I've read, Wright checks many boxes ... he's a centerman, a good 2 way player and has leadership qualities. Him and Suzuki would be a nice one-two punch in our top 6. He's also on top of many scout's lists.

I trust HuGo will do their due diligence on all of those guys, we can flap our gums until they fall off but in the end they know a lot more about them than we ever will.

I'm ready to give the new management some free rope to run with, we'll see in a few years if they made the right choices.

How? He said "many" and even "the vast majority" would also be correct.

No definitively not but regardless it's an indication of what people think about his play.

yes, but it's normal for people in here to talk about the lists, except maybe for a few rare exceptions no one has followed these players very closely. the habs can make their own decision for sure, they have a scouting department lol

Pretty sure going with TSN's list in the last 15 years would have been better for us.
