so this isn't a joke, but actually Brian Wilde's perspective? this is the kind of bullpoop that makes me feel it would almost be better if Quebec was its own (frank)ing country.

Instead of reading the bill itself, they just drink the drivel kool aid written in the Globe and Mail and the National Post, by "journalist" who don't live here.

It's pathetic.

comments if they draft Wright: oh my, they went with the "safer bet", but missed out on the highest potential available.

comments if they don't draft Wright: oh my, they took a big risk there, they should've went with the "safer bet".

He is.

Players won't probably sign in Dallas either because of gun violence.

My comment if they draft Wright: Good.

My comment if they draft anyone else: (frank)ing (frank) they better hope the (frank) we drafted becomes (frank)ing good or I'll (frank)ing murder (frank)ing Mr. Peanut out of (frank)ing range.

Good pick though. He should be good. #Optobus

Probably... but I can see how this makes signing with the Habs less desirable.

It certainly does not help.

And what would it take for you to murder him, regardless?

I kinda hate hearing that "safer bet" thing, as though Wright won't (frank)ing suck, but he won't be very good either lol

If this is the logic, there would be nobody playing in any NHL city outside of maybe Tampa (without looking it up).

Maybe this should be the thing GM's in Canada promote.

So what about Bill 96 would make anything different for a hockey player and his family?

Or are you just saying the bad press doesn't help?

Shane Wright will be a great player.

It's a fine year to get the first overall. Even if it's not Bedard next year.

It's Wright.

It has to be.

- Scabeh

why? I don't get why people are so pro Wright. if in their eyes he's the bpa, good, pick him!
if they judge he is not, then they'll pick someone else. for once I have full confidence in the management team I'll let them work and wait. I'll be happy whoever they select.

thing is though it's probably harder to evaluate players from a "pandemic draft", the hype would probably be more intense and more positive under normal circumstances... Wright is probably going to be a damn good player, there's just more hesitation than usual, especially from people who don't really know what the (frank) they're talking about.

Pretty sure NHL player's kids are going to private schools with maximum security.

At least that's where I'd send my kids if I was living south and was a millionaire.

Sure, if they think there's a better player out there, they'll pick him.

In my humble opinion, he's hands down the BPA.

well I didn't see any of these kids, like 99% of people here. so I'll trust Hughes. 5 years from now we'll all be able to judge if he made the right choice.
