i must have watched that "shift" like 20 times already lol
4 out of the 5 guys on the ice during the initial zone entry get to change - fox jumping like a wide receiver to keep that puck in.
im still in awe of that. how many times has that exact same sequence happened against the rangers over the past decade.... |

If they beat Tampa, argument will be no Point in the lineup

It's so ridiculous. When we were down 3-1 to Pitt and Domingue was playing great, none of their fans had any issue with him. In the 2nd round all we kept hearing was Raanta is 7-0 at home with a 0.97 GAA |

Well he is a current top 5 player in the world (IMO) and the top playoff performer of the past 3 years (statistically)....but regardless, none of these opposing team injury issues should take away from your guy's enjoyment of the successes so far, its a part of sports. Also, while its hard to say for sure, I mean a guy like Point is a game breaker and can change things at the drop of a hat,...but....from what I saw last night its very possible he doesn't change the outcome. That 2nd period was a Rangers clinic. I obviously watched every game of the Pens series, not all of the Canes series, but it seems to me like the Rangers are unreal in 2nd periods! haha thats when they seem to go bat sh!t crazy and score in bunches, turn games on their head... |

Oh we had issues...he was letting in 3 and 4 goals on 20-25ish shots its just the Pens were scoring 7, so it didnt matter that much haha...that game winner by Krieder from just inside the blue line where it hit his glove and went up in the air over him would of been stopped by any starter in the league IMO

I don't have the stats to back it up but I feel like Ryan Strome leads the league in "how did that not go in" per 60 |

Yea I’m full of dyck in all of my orifices and I love it
That little subtle move to get open before the Kakko pass was just beautiful. He’s hitting corners |

you know what's cool? Tampa is not that good on faceoffs, especially compared to Pittsburgh and Carolina
that's a big part of why we had the puck so much more last night |

Its that whole line. Chytil is more of the finesse (although that play against Smith showed some strength), Laf has an edge and scoring ability, Kakko is so god damned responsible defensively and is hard to knock off the puck. That line just clicks so well |

List of back breaking Ranger fan chores:
- Make sure NHL GMs hire ACTUAL goalies.
- Make sure opponents skate with head up
- Make sure other team is 100% healthy
- Make sure we don't brag about our accomplishments
- Hail Satan
So you sure you want the job?

I meant to include that in preview blog. They and Rangers were two worst in playoffs. Neck and neck. |

One thing I hate is the goalie chants They always, and I mean always, bite you in the ass. See Igor chant against the Pens |

and we don't have to hear about converting him to a winger ever again!
- jimbro83
This was always my argument. Figured he would be best served as a winger, and the last thing this team needed was another winger. He also had a really rough regular season, so it’s not like the criticism was completely unwarranted.
I’m completely off that bandwagon now though. Thank god they never gave up on him. There’s something to be said about players who play their best in the postseason. And not only that, but scoring enormous goals at the most important times. He’s been super clutch lately, (frank)ing love it. Just gotta work on draws this off-season |
