I think it’s just this. Good player, but not 8M

That's fair, sabres cant afford an 8 million $ guy with (2) 1OA'S eventually cashing in.

Power would be 3 years from now, gotta think dahlins a 10 million $ guy in 2 years.

not paying a goalie big money
lots of entry level contracts in the pipeline for the next few years

trouba only has 4 years left

bjork and okposo comes off the books in 12 months, that pretty much covers trouba's salary moving forward

they can make it happen

It was interesting to watch Kevyn Adams get up and follow around the groups w/ Nazar, McGroarty, Casey, and Gauthier. They all went back to back in the 8:30 group and Nazar was last in the 8 AM group.

I just dont see Miro dropping that far.
Love the Gauthier pick if he's available, just the kind of player they need.
Lambert's reported deficient compete level, especially with the defensive element is concerning to me.
9. Savoie or Gauthier

Miro in that group of 16 I wouldn’t mind. He’s the kind of guy you look back at in 5 years and talk about being a top player from the class. With what he went through, I can also see him appreciating and putting it all into his craft.

Solid post.
Now that his health report is good news and the cancer type is treatable, I would guess his draft value goes back inside the top 10. Could be wrong for sure.
Still, the Russian bias couple with world events may impact how far he trends up.
I suspect he's gone before 16. If he is available there, I wholeheartedly agree with sliding him in there.

Will be interesting.

Scale of probability?

1 out of 10 IMO trouba a sabre...

-we all know his wife wants to be in ny because she has a career.
- the rangers may win the cup with him being a key contributor.
-he's paid handsomely
- we have a very soon to be expensive and big minutes defensive unit.

We need a goalie and a 4th/5th d -man , not a big mintues top pairing type guy

in earlier mock drafts he was going in the 25-30 range

I think it has to be pick 28 if he is their guy, which I am fine with
