Bills signed WR/KR Tavon Austin.
Set to play for his fourth team in four years, Austin now heads to Buffalo to join the Bills. Last season with the Jaguars Austin totaled 24 receptions for 213 yards and one touchdown, hauling in his first touchdown pass since 2019. While it may be difficult for Austin to see offensive snaps in a crowded Bills receiver room, he could contribute as a returner. He has fielded just five punts over the last two seasons and hasn't returned a kick since 2017.

It’s not Jones and Kravstov’s time yet but just goes to show how stacked the rangers are. They would’ve been top 6/4 forward/defenseman on a team like buffalo.

They are waiting in the wings to replace veterans we need to lose due to cap space in order to keep the rangers in perennial contention for the next 5-7 years.

- rangerdanger94

Jones wouldn’t for sure, what are you smoking, and Kravtzov still sucks no matter how hard you try to pump his tires. Rangers have a good defense and spectacular goalie. Star power up front behind a few guys? Not so much. Doesn’t mean I’m knocking guys like Chytil or Strome or Kakko. Decent enough. But they’re not an elite offensive team where your holding Kravtzov back. But tell me more about how they are a better base then what he Sabres got back in Tuch and Krebs. I love a good nighttime thriller.

So no rebuttal to actual points you tried to cram down our throats through the summer. Checks out. Head back to where you belong kid.

There’s no point in arguing. You are just wrong. Just like you were wrong in the summer when your criticized the Reaves/Goodrow acquisitions which helped us make the ECF, or the Igor extension who now is a lock to win the vezina and is the best goalie in the world on an absolute steal of a contract, or when you poop on Laf/Chytil/Kakko who are now playing excellent hockey when it matters most.

You just literally have no idea what you’re talking about. Ever. Including about Jones and Kravstov. We can discuss it more in a year when you’re proven wrong, again.

Go find a quote, from me, that did any of those things. Only things I ever discussed was your offers, which never included anyone other than Jones, Kravtzov, and Georgiev. I’m guessing the fact that you haven’t brought up Georgiev is because you have in fact realized he’s dung. But way to lump an entire group of people (and honestly with how you act probably never actually even happened) to all have the same mindset. Or keep saying that I made any of those remarks. So again, kindly, go back to where you belong. It ain’t here.

Zibanejad has as many points as those three combined.

Chytil has 7 goals, I'll give you that, but GTFO on the rest. A 1OA and a 2OA have a combined 3 goals in 30 games. That's absolute dogpoop.

I would grab him for the right price, adds a little nip with some touch. And the games I have seen him play, seems given a opportunity he could explode

Kadri or Johnny G. I'll take Kadri any time over him. I know there are a lot of Johnny lovers on here but Kadri is exactly what the Sabres need. Kadri, Cozens and Tuch. That would be awesome
- Freddie krug

Being a London kid, he might even come to the 716 because of proximity. At least that’s what I hope.

Still troubled reading on here that people are worried about losing some of our lesser lights. Watch the WCF and the ECF and tell me which of our players would hit like that, or drive to the net like that?

True, the playoffs are a different game entirely, but I’m not too worried about losing olafson for the right price or girgemsons. Wtf has that guy ever done except that one all star season?

Geekie sounds intriguing. Big body and forechecking. Savoie- don’t we already have skinner?

I don’t get too excited about defense unless they are Power.

I'm trying to not get too giddy, but f'n A, they are getting it done.

As a true Yankees fan, I'm waiting for the 14 injuries to happen.

I think we're pretty fortunate to have a strong young defensive corps. Adding 2nd and 3rd pairing guys is incredibly easy to do by draft trade or UFA. Samuelsson was ranked 40-60 in most mocks and 3 years later he's playing top line minutes with Dahlin. Our pipeline is total ass on defense so I hope an effort is made to refill it at the draft. There's some nice looking guys who can absolutely fill the 2-5 spots down the line.

My concern is finding the elite forward talent.

If you truly mean Elite , then it is highly likely they will need to acquire it in a trade from here on out.
It will be difficult, and an outlier to land elite talent in the draft if they continue to climb the rank and select later in the draft.

Sure, you can hope to find a Point or a Kucherov "later" in the draft, but you'd be nuts to bank on it. It is why I support taking Miro if he is there at 28...doubful, but if he is go for it.

I have a strong feeling that if the draft goes reasonably as expected, Gauthier will be the pick at 9.

Feels more and more like 16 needs to be used. Or trade down a few spots, pick up a 3rd round pick, then take him at 18-20. Once his prognosis and progress is made public, fans and management alike will know where to draft him.

I continue to want Savoie, but it is likely he goes in that 6, 7, 8 slot.
Gauthier would be solid.
