It’s not Jones and Kravstov’s time yet but just goes to show how stacked the rangers are. They would’ve been top 6/4 forward/defenseman on a team like buffalo.

They are waiting in the wings to replace veterans we need to lose due to cap space in order to keep the rangers in perennial contention for the next 5-7 years.

Wondering how long it would take for you to come out of the closet with my remark. I am sure they could find a vet leader who can stay healthy to replace Girgelson.

Assuming we want to carry a 13F and 7D then we need to sign 5 forwards, 2 defensemen and a backup. One of those being a 2C in either Strome or Copp, plus Kakko who will probably get a bridge deal.

Hence why having Kravstov and Jones waiting in the wings on their ELC is so clutch. You replace depth with kids on ELCs that outperform their ELC cap hit to keep you in a good position to compete.

Another luxury NYR have is players have been willing to take discounts to play in Manhattan. Probably even more so now if they think we are contenders. Basically the opposite of Buffalo who has to overpay for any free agent.

Sure, what if they suck or you only get a 1/4 of the production. Like I said will see how long it last or your goaltender comes down to earth.
