I don't know why you can't kick it in, if someone is holding your stick or obstructing it you should be allowed to use your feet.

When Mackinnon scored one of the most beautiful goal of the stanley cup playoffs, I thought they were done.

But they regrouped and scored again.

I also think that Kuemper looked extremely shaky when things got tough.

Avs are a team with only ok goaltending, but really excellent skill. If I had to chose to watch a game as a hockey fan, not a Leaf fan, it would be between two teams with exceptional skill. Players like Makar and McDavid, not plugs that can get away with dirty hits hard workers.

The Blues aren't plugs or devoid of talent. There are plenty of very good hockey players on that team.

I can appreciate a team with less star power giving everything they have to win a game and overcome what is supposed to be a "superior" opponent.

Basically, I love cheering for the underdog.

Husso needs to be better. Also their defense is pretty sparse. Parayko is great and Faulk has been shockingly decent after looking like he was falling off a cliff and Leddy has been decent in stretches...but other than them it's a bit ragtag.

There’s no way to expect rigid consistency when it comes to rules like kicking the puck or even running the goalie. The circumstances are so specific and minute that it becomes silly to expect exactly the same kind of ruling. A slight change of angle of the skate or a few extra degrees of movement have to be interpreted based on available camera. The key is the calls are made based on interpretations and people will disagree.

As with gymnastics, I dislike any element of judged sports.

See to me this feels like saying in soccer I don't know why you can't elbow a ball into the net if your not tall enough to get up over the other players during a corner kick to head it in.

Wikipedia has this as part of their explanation of hockey, I'm not saying they are the ground truth on all things but it does paint the picture of what hockey is all about and the mention of a stick and shooting the puck into the net using the stick seems to be a fundamental part of it:

Campbell was very good in the series and didn't have a legacy player on a hot streak take over his job only to lose it because of injury and continue to poop the bed...but sure the defense is about the same in terms of what they got done. I would add that Gio aside from 3 bad moments in 7 games was consistently strong.

Campbell was very good in the series and didn't have a legacy player on a hot streak take over his job only to lose it because of injury and continue to poop the bed...but sure the defense is about the same in terms of what they got done. You're right, clearly Bortuzzo can somehow contribute to his team's success since he won a cup and is now in the 2nd round.

It's not fair to compare him to a guy that's so broken, he couldn't get dressed more than 2 games in the first round.
