trading the "bad contracts" might be hard to do, but they'll have to sign a goalie for sure, and instead of a winger I'd probably try to add to the dcore. besides that it doesn't sound too ludicrous

I think a lot of teams signed some contracts while they were expecting the salary cap to go up, and it didn't, so the assets are much harder to manage. I'm sure Price's offer was made thinking the cap hit wouldn't be so bad at the end of his contract...

that's why I think Hughes will have a quiet summer (sort of). he doesn't have 1 bad contract to trade, he has half a dozen! mission impossible. they'll have to let them play out, and we'll have to be patient.
