I havent watched every minute of every game in this series and missed most of the last game. However, when I have watched I have seen the Canes controlling a lot of the play...but mostly with a total reluctance to go the net, like the Pens did and effectively. Canes are playing a very parameter game (the times I watched) and Igor is just too damn good for that. - MattStrat
Like another said, they are winning alot of Faceoffs, but its not so much a reluctance of Canes going to net, but rather NYR giving them the out side shots and trying to collapse on D when the Canes try to go to the net. I love how no matter how NYR does is playoffs, its b/c they were lucky and/or their opponent isn't playing well

Wasn't saying or thinking that at all. I haven't watched enough of it to make that assessment.
Larry Brooks today: On the D zone style and how they have limited the Canes attack:
The Rangers are packing the middle of the ice, dropping their wingers lower and lower. Their D-zone coverage resembles the system under John Tortorella. Their goaltender, Igor Shesterkin, resembles the 2011-12 Henrik Lundqvist. Their forwards are busting back and they are not afraid to spend some time in their own end.
Talked about if Rangers win the second round pick to Winnipeg becomes a first:
The question is: What price will be right for both parties to keep Copp from hitting the open market as an unrestricted free agent on July 13?
Does five years at around $25 million sound right? To general manager Chris Drury, probably. To Copp, I’m not so sure.
Was a ridiculous goal. Colorado had a shot at empty net in neutral zone and instead of shooting, tried to pass, which went nowhere. A minute later, tie game

I think its been pretty close. Game 1 Rangers outplayed the Canes. Game 2 Rangers were thoroughly embarrassed. Game 3 was pretty even. Game 4 Rangers dominated.
I think the Pens actually controlled more of the series then the Canes have so far

when Kreider missed the empty netter Sunday I made a sound like this
stoked for tonight, i expect it to be a back and forth game.
As for the 1st round pick stuff... Ottawa is willing to trade #7 & they want a top 4 dman. So either Lundqvist or Jones with other considerations may get it done.

I never thought the pens series was going to be a cake walk. Pens > Canes so far from what i have seen.

I think this is going to be the wildest of the games thus far. Either one team is going to take control early or we're going to see a slugfest.

Yeah. I don't know if its the Rangers just weren't ready and have played better now, or if the Canes have fallen off a bit. All I know is the Rangers have to win tonight. I think this game is the series

Chicago coughs up 6th overall pick to Columbus to complete the Seth Jones trade

poop man, we were 2 minutes away from taking game 1 and then Cole's overtime winner was such a crap goal
