Worst game of the series. Losing game one will haunt them

Game 6 they need to tweak the lineup. Either sit Kakko or keep him on the kid line. He’s useless on the 4th line.

I have one major concern is what is going on with Panarin? I just don’t understand how you can go from legit possibly the best LW in hockey to just a total disappearing act in the playoffs. Im a little surprised he hasn’t been able to generate more in these playoffs.

Man-on-man defense. Really noticed it for the first time tonight. Play each guy tight, cause turn overs and come out with speed the other way. Not sure how to play against that other than being faster or at least out working them. Neither of which came close to happening tonight. Need a man advantage to create anything.

I just don't understand the complete lack of effort. I'm not taking anything away from Carolina, they play a good game. But the Rangers did nothing well. Couldn't even make clean, uncontested passes regularly. I'm ok with losing when you play well and get outplayed. But this was an unacceptable showing.

To beat Carolina's pressure, you just need to move your feet and make quick passes. If you hesitate, they get in your face and force you to make a tough play. I don't think it's that hard to figure out. They just need to do it.

Honestly that might have been the worst rangers playoff performance I've ever seen. Completely outclassed in every aspect. That was an inexcusable level of effort. I really hope they move on from strome. If Panarin isn't hurt he should be embarrassed

I just dont get it. How do you come out comepletely defensive from the outset. Just doesnt make sense that they come to play to not lose rather than win.

You guys are a little rough tonight lol I get it, it wasnt a pretty game to watch. No one gives the canes enough credit tho. They do this to everyone. It took them 5 games to get to their game.

The effort was there, the canes just looked like they had 6 guys on the ice all game. If they lose game 6 meekly I’ll understand the negativity, but cut them a little slack tonight sheesh. I mean I did see Vatrano go side to side full speed to block two separate shots. I know it’s one guy, but the effort was there imo

one thing I’ll say and we said it all year pretty much, is they are very PP dependent. They don’t generate much 5 in 5 but over time and years that go by that will get better. The 4th line contributes nothing offensively which is an issue at the moment. I love Rooney and Reaves, but they’re probably the 13th and 14th forwards but have to play right now.

Disagree on the effort being there. Yes, Carolina plays a good game, but they are beatable if you match the effort. Only 8 shots on goal after being down 2-1 is a complete lack of effort.
I'm not giving up, but I feel like the Rangers did with this game. Need to push back on Saturday and force a game 7.

I know it’s stating the obvious but if they had Blais and Goodrow playing we’d be in very good shape. The lineup would lengthen considerably. To me that’s the biggest issue, can’t really roll 4 lines like GG wants

completely disagree there - and you kind of contracted yourself too. if the effort was there it wouldnt look 6v5.
