If the league is so corrupt why do you watch?

It's called getting past the denial phase. Still enjoy good Hockey but also have accepted the fact that it's a business and there are other things at play.

I think the fact Markys gaa was 5 is a bit more important than the refs lol

You’re going to hear epic whining from Flame fans, to the point they’ll be in the same class as Leaf fans, to where they lost the entire series because of one bad call….4 games to 1

McJesus won it for Edmonton, Marky lost it for the Flames.

Colorado/Edmonton should be a fun series

Some of those puck that were getting through Mike Smith, like the one that resulted in the skate directed in goal, was just amateur hour. With solid goaltending along with McDavid and Draisaitl they’d be a force to be reckoned with in round three.

Draisaitl and McDavid have 26 points each in twelve games, that’s unbelievable, seriously. And Draisaitl’s hurt. The next closest skaters have 15 points

The Blues are like Calgary, bigger beefier team that isn't as fast. Could see Edmonton getting by them the same way, especially without Binnington.

I'm interested to see how Colorado's D will handle McDavid and Drai... they're quicker at transitioning the puck and playing out of their end. Would have to think Colorado would also be much more deadly up front than what Calgary was.

Provided Colorado gets by St Louis, it’s likely the four final teams are Tamp, Carolina, Edmonton and Colorado. Should make for some fast paced, high scoring games!

All Coleman had to do was let the puck roll in on it's own. But the fact he 'helped' it in with his skate made it look enough like a distinct kicking motion. Toronto got the call right on the review.

I hate both teams but that was a dreadful call.
Having said that, Markstrom was beyond brutal and Chucky was invisible after game 1.

Maybe you should call the replay officials in TO and plead your case.

Good luck.

New blog is done — and I didn't even get around to the Flames/Oilers postmortem.

The news of Tanev's injury list was rather expected. Of course it took three major things to take him out of the lineup for a few games.

But I am curious if we'll hear that Markstrom was hurt as well. Yes, Edmonton was a higher-powered offensive machine, but Marky had played well enough to outduel Oettinger in Round 1. Then, he suddenly didn't have it anymore...

Anyway...read on, please.

With two CDN teams it tough. Oil will have a big job getting by Gary's boys in the Conf. Finals. Gonna be fun though.

I think they want McMuffin deep in the playoffs but not win the cup.
