God we’ve had our fair share of moron fans on this site before but we’re reaching new levels. - shvingter88
Yet you're still here. Talking out of your ass. I bring facts and data to the table, you bring imaginary garbage to fit a false narrative then you dismiss said data because it doesnt align with what you think. So who's the moron here? Clown poop. |

I've insulted you because you literally REFUSE to provide any type of information or data to back up either point you are trying to argue, and you keep going. You insulted me because i proved you wrong. Youre actually (frank)ing braindead, holy poop.
I get it, you want to fake being a hockey fan. I'll call you out on it every single time. Keep being an idiot and ill make sure to correct you. - vlongo4419

Facts and data? All you’ve done is say you have facts and then not present them. |

You literally gave flat points, with zero context. I then gave context which actually played against your narrative. Your points argument literally makes my case stronger. The hell are you talking about lol |

I have clearly presented a ton of data in multiple messages backing up my statements on both JP and Subban. No reason to try to lie when the messages are still there, stop making yoursef look like more of a fool.
Either you're incredibly slow in the head or just trolling at this point. But either way, I've made all the points that i needed to. I'm done responding to your idiocy. |

So that’s why people were jumping at the bit for these players at the deadline? Get a life dude this isn’t nhl22 |

Oh yeah i gotta respond to this, becuase you keep upping the stupidity and digging yourself a bigger whole. Clearly Subban not being moved at the deadline had absolutely nothing to do with him having a 9M cap hit and barely any teams being able to fit it in! Definitely not! You got me there! And why the hell would the Oilers move JP when they were in a playoff race? The (frank). Sheer idiocy at its finest right here folks.
You really are slow in the head. Just stop responding you (frank)ing muppet. |

Took way too long! Lol. Gallant scratching Kakko is absolutely absurd, and post game he pretty much ducked the question about it. Completely unacceptable imo. But man Shesterkin is unreal, what an unbelievable season for him from start to finish. Rangers are nowhere near where they ended up without him. |

Shesterkin might have put up one of the best goaltending seasons of all time. It's hard to quantify how bad the Rangers are and how good Igor is to carry them that far. Just insane. |

It really is. I'm really interested to see if he can carry it over into next season or if there's any drop off. There's certainly a world where the Rangers don't even make the playoffs next season if he isn't superman and they don't improve their 5v5 play. So that'll he interesting to watch next year.
Also wonder if anything happens with Kakko. Scratching him in the most important game of the season, ECF elimination game with the entire hockey world watching. That's gotta rub some people in his camp the wrong way. |

It was just weird too because Kakko wasn't playing poorly, either. His line was actually generating something 5on5 even if it wasn't much. I don't really know how you can place blame on their young forwards when their 5on5 strategy is basically concede everything and rely on the goalie to cover up the mistakes.
There is something funny about the Rangers tearing their team down (and a lot of the players they traded having a lot of success on other teams) and then essentially constructing the same exact team again. Superstar Goalie, lackluster offense and defense. |

Agreed! The 'kid line' was their best line on a lot of nights throughout these playoffs at 5v5. Kakko was 2nd on the team in CF% and xGF% only behind Chytil(Laf was 3rd in both as well) and they were a clear cut above everybody else. The whole kid line had above a 49% CF% and the next closest forward was Kreider at 45%. Kakko also had a 49% xGF% and the highest non-kid line player was Panarin 39.99% lol. The Rangers just got dominated at 5v5 in every single series.
They're in for an interesting offseason again as well because they aren't exactly swimming in cap space. Only 13.4M available while needing to sign alteast 4 forwards, 1 D, and a backup goalie. Kakko/Gauthier/Blais/Georgiev needing a new deal as RFAs as well as Strome/Copp/Vatrano expiring who will likely be expensive, then gotta factor in Laf/Chytil/Miller needing new deals after next season. Their bad contracts are catching up to them quickly. |

I can definitely see somebody offer sheeting Kakko at 4 mil leaving the Rangers in a really tough cap crunch. Keep your promising young player and force yourself to build the rest of the roster from scraps. Copp is going to get himself a Coleman like deal from some team, I'd imagine who wants that gritty forward depth.
Dangerous thing for them is that if they don't get a quality backup who can play a lot of games you're going to burnout Sheshterkin. Maybe there is a world where he is just head over heels the best goalie in the league but it won't matter if he's overworked. You can see that from Carey Price. |

Well, the moon wasn’t completely full last night, but I still find the expressed agitation surprising.
And I’ve heard of someone being called a puppet but a muppet is kind of funny.
Relieved the Rangers are done. Tampa was impressive. Lose the first 2 games and then sweep them away. Amazing what happens when you don’t face a 3rd and 2nd string goalie all series. And Tampa didn’t even have Point.
Anyway, I’m sticking with my point that if you’re an aging player, and being bumped down the lineup because you’re getting worse due to age, it usually means you’ll continue to decline. That’s great he did okay on the worst pairing available for a roster. That’s not something to be confident in. He’s not getting better and was only on the 3rd pair because he couldn’t hold it down anywhere else anymore. That’s nothing to celebrate. He’ll only get worse. We can insert a youth or younger established player that can provide similar metrics, while also having the potential to improve instead of get slower and slewfoot more players.
I don’t hate PK but I’m on board going another direction. |

Fully agree. Their management has a lot of work to do, and an offer sheet of 4.2M to Kakko would really hurt them if they match it. But that's what happens when you give out bad contracts, so they put themselves in this situation. One of the reasons I'm very pleased with what Fitz has been doing here.

Cordell is the best read on the internet and well worth the subscription price. He backs up everything he writes with hard stats.
Side note: if you're into baseball, Joe Posnanski's blog is exceptional.

And off the board goes Bruce Cassidy. No idea if Fitz reached out but figured it was a long shot to get him here so whatever. Vegas really is a great fit for him too tbh.(if they can figure their awful cap situation out) |

Dadonov will be playing in Arizona next season. Nobody is taking Karlsson though, that contract is horrendous lmao. GMs also love "veteran with cup experience" and somebody will take Martinez. They can free up a lot if they want to. |

Yeah I think so too, shouldn't too difficult unless teams are playing hardball with them knowing they need to clear space. Another guy I think could be on the move is Pacioretty. Might be a little bit more difficult because he costs $7M, but he only has 1 year left. And even though he'll be 34 he's been slightly under a PPG player over the past 3 seasons.
Also, i think Lehner is a possibility too. I'm assuming DeBoer being gone will help calm things down between him and the team and could keep him there, but they seem to really like Broissant. 3 years left at 5M is fine, because when he's actually on the ice he's been pretty good, but he's had some injury issues over the past few years that are concerning. I could see Lehner being a target for us *again*.(they were supposedly very close to a deal sending him here before they shipped out Fleury instead)
So they have a good amount of options to move out, and they need to because they need to sign ~3-4 forwards but only have 200k cap space available lmao. All of the guys we've listed have 8-10 team M-NTC too which might complicate things a tad(like we saw with Dadonov at the deadline). Could potentially allow someone to try to take advantage of them, IE asking for Nic Hague to take on a contract from them. Something like that. |
