Thats the thing, you could probably say he is directly responsible for all his line mates points. Even when he isn't putting up points he opens so much room for his line mates. Looks like they found something putting Kane on that line too. - mdw7413
Who would have thought Kane would be the breakout guy?
He's good, but man, hat trick the other night? Avs vs Oilers is going to be something! |

Anyone know what Rod said about that penalty? We switched to the Edmonton game. - Fenrir
Had no issues with it. Rod didn't complain about it. J.Staal said that the Canes need to make sure they contain their emotions even in that. |

maybe sullivan just sets the bar so low but Rod is a breath of fresh air as an opposing coach (from a whining standpoint) |

Such a whiny POS. It's ingrained into the franchise. |

He's also under threat of being fined again if he complains publicly about the refs.

Yeah I was mad about it in the moment, but after watching it on replays I guess it was fine. Domi was falling after Trouba had already committed to the hit. Not really anything anyone could do there. |

At first I thought Trouba left his feet, I was like (frank) me, this ain't gonna end good. Then when I saw the replay it was pretty much a textbook check. |

I liked the end when Reaves was trying to get him to go and they're both just kinda laughing at each other.
Like Reaves is chirping him because the Rangers just won handily, and Domi's laughing because, well, Reaves would absolutely kill him if he decided to try and throw one. Max is (frank)ing dumb but he ain't THAT dumb. |

Domi and ADA are great chirpers who know their limits, especially when separated by linesmen.
I'm glad this is a chippy series, makes it more fun. |

After watching the replay from the back angle, I would even say Trouba did hop a bit to NOT to hit Domi's head. If you look the way he fell over Domi and not directly on top, I think Trouba saw it. |

Caught him falling at the last second and pulled up. Could have been bad for Domi if Trouba went in full speed. |

Some Canes writer named "Chip" had this to say:
"But this was how it unfolded Tuesday: Rangers defenseman Jacob Trouba lined up Domi for a big hit along the boards, leaving his feet and leading with his elbow. While it was a big collision, Domi avoided what could have been as serious injury by slowing at the last second and moving his head back." |

I thought Trouba was lucky not get to get hurt on the play. Best goal of the season because it came off a retaliation penalty. |

it just blows my mind that in this digital age where anything is replayable on-demand you can get away with writing that he led with his elbow when you can literally just go on twitter and see it for yourself. that concept extends far beyond hockey obviously but jeeze. cmon guy |

Talk about a classic homer perspective of what happened with the intention to gas light fans.
Garbage reporting. |

Chip Alexander is a guy who's been covering the Canes for a long time and hates every second of it. He got put on the beat in 1997 when the Canes landed in Greensboro. Has zero interest in covering the Canes. He's a college basketball guy. |

I'm not sure it's a visual evidence issue so much as it is an "I've never played hockey" thing. |
