Pretty weak wingers for Wright if he stays with Mtl. Mind you they don't have much options. I would try him out (Wright) with Gallagher or Anderson. - deadpoulet
much better than the ones he would be playing with in junor |

I don't think that's how it works, this doesn't mean you'd be putting him in a position to succeed... |

and even then, the habs would need to identify a few players that they really want and that could still be available at that rank... they're already not very physical, can't imagine what they would look like without Anderson in the lineup. - Pat1993
I don't expect much from them next season anyway. Sure you could make a case for having a few good vets on the team, but if you can get a top pick like that, you would have at least have to consider it. |

is there really a big difference between Drouin and Hoffman?
between Armia and Gallagher?
make your pick, Wright would play with these guys. anyway you look at it. |

Drouin passes, Hoffman shoots.
Armia is big, Gallagher is small.

No because in Junior he doesn't have to play against nhl players. |

consider it, yes, like I said if they identify a few guys they're very interested in it could make sense, but it's far from being an obvious decision, and they'd probably tend to keep him imho |

I was talking about your analogy of automatically having better wingers with the habs than in junior... |

Depends how overwhelmed you are by the better competition.
If you're just surviving out there, you ain't learning much imo.

I don't think Armia ever came close to 30 goals in his career either. Spent last season on the 4th line. Mind you Gallagher had a bad season, but again, they gave him Dauphin.
Maybe Drouin shows up next season, but he barely played last season. |

Well, at least most people here agree they should draft Wright, not that's it saying much.
After that, I don't think mtl has what it takes to have another early first round pick, but you would think a rebuilding team would have interest there. |

I guess you can always hope Dorion falls for a dumb deal, the senators' track record isn't necessarily the greatest in terms of trades lol |

They will most likely still draft at 7th, but you never know.
What might be easier for mtl, is to trade CGY pick and let's say their own 2nd round pick to move a little bit later on in the first round. |

I can see Wright with Gally and maybe Armia for a big body...That leaves the kid together with Anderson and Dvorak with hoffman and Drouin.. |
