The NHL needs an independent auditor of the DOPS, led by a panel of ex-referees, players, and executives. The DOPS is doing a horrendous job, but who do they answer to? The Commissioner? Bettman cares about revenue and all this violence sells. And the NHLPA is a limp biscuit, so they'll get no help there.
