Totally clean. Never extended his arm or left his feet.

Was it an egregious crazy Tom Wilson-esque hit? No. But to say it was a totally clean hit in the same breath? Not at all. Should have been a 2 minute charging minor for leaving his feet, no more.

From a different angle you can see Domi is falling too...Im not sure his head is hit if Domi doesn't fall...I think he starts to fall because he's weary of getting smoked haha. Once again, things happening fast out there. One of the issues at play here, once again, is its hard to give Trouba benefit of the doubt.

Oh, Domi was definitely falling because he saw Trouba coming. Add in the fact that Domi is a a lot smaller than Trouba anyway and it's hard NOT to make contact high. Like I said, charging penalty for jumping into the hit and that's it.

(It was a joke about the Flyers)

Haha I know I caught it, but some people actually think that way.

He’s leading with the elbow. How is that not obvious? Lol

I thought so too, but it doesn't look like he is. Arm actually looks tucked.

It’s tucked there because Domi’s head is pushing back on it. The original video shows he very clearly has his elbow extended.

He even followed through with his arm when finishing the check.

Riikola back to Sweden. What a waste of money they spent. He was a perfect 3rd pairing dman they never used, yet kept extending.

I’ll never understand that situation.

It wasnt clean but also looked way worse bc Domi fell. The issue is that trouba launches himself at players. Sometimes he catches them in the chest and other times he follows thorough and gets them in the head

That being said Trouba changes the momentum for the rangers and nobody has an asnwer for it yet.

Honestly, I think Trouba's elbow hits Domi's head. If Domi wasn't falling it's Trouba's shoulder going into Domi's head.

Trouba is a reckless player and will continue to be so because the NHL DOPS and the officiating is a joke.

Not a thing reckless about Trouba..he is just a big physical defenseman who can play the game well and hit...dont see defensemen like that anymore. Every time he levels someone the opposing fans whine but even in this age with super slow technology time after time his hits are proven to be legal. Just a guy every team and their fans would love to have.

Man, I’d love to see if a Penguins player did the very same thing to a Ranger… dummy.

Bruce Garrioch is reporting the Sens are looking for a top four dman. Hextall needs to get on that call and offer up Dumo.

He wasn't Sullivan's boy! I liked him, had a nice shot, fairly physical for his size, and some wheels...

Pens are too soft a big part of their problem. Guys like Hornqvist would hit and intimidate exactly like Trouba .

Cooke was a dirty player. Horn and Kunitz played with an edge. There’s a big difference between players who plays with an edge and players who are dirty/reckless.

For context, Wanye Simmonds. Never thought he was a dirty player. He played with an edge. Players who play with an edge unfortunately at times commit some bad plays. Thornton was the same way.

Trouba is reckless. Is reckless the same as dirty? No, but usually the result of reckless players are dirty hits.

Regardless we could use a few edgy players. Imagine if we had a kadri accidentally take out Igor. 🤷🏻‍♂️ 💰

Interesting take on both the starting and backup goalie out with 3rd stringer used, who statically was the worst goalie who played more than one game these playoffs, plus losing arguably the best player in the playoffs up to that point for 1.5 games. Not to mention when he came back he was hurt and not himself. Need not only look at how he looked on the ice but also his FO performance compared to the other 4.5 games. He wasn't himself. Plus down a top 6 forward, top 4D/top PK unit D-man...yes, we know, Goodrow was out the whole series, Motte for some games too, Lindberg as well....any knowledgeable person knows none of that is equal/even haha. By all means though rest your hat on winning that series on the PP in OT after a pile of other worse sh!t wasnt called that game. Thats the breaks with the refs sometimes though, I guess..

What does any other player, for any team, and their past have to do with Trouba being reckless? You argue with the mentality of a 10 year old.

He’s a dum dum. He’s one of these moronic fans who thinks whatever happens in past games or seasons somehow now allows his team/players to get away with dirty stuff.

This is very much the mentality of a child. It’s the “He started it!” argument.
