Theo I m be wrong on this but it seems akex turcotte has kinda fallen out favor with the Kings or his development has not gone the right way the Kings invisioned. I would at least give a call and serm if he is available your thoughts?
- Scott1977

Turcotte got injured, and very frankly has not played as well as a lot of the other prospects in the system. Right now, he is probably 7th or 8th on the depth chart for centerman

Kopitar
Lizotte
Byfield
Danault
Kupari
Villardi

to me are all ahead of Turcotte.

The Kings are on a hunt for scoring. They have the picks and the prospects to make it work, and the cap space.
- LAHawk

That be a good fit just what prospects would come back if trade would happen?

Would you include him in a trade for dcat?

think Ottawa thinks Murphy is a top four defender and would throw slot seven the Hawks way?

IIRC, the Blackhawks didn't have a locker clean out day and the associated media interviews. Probably wise on management's part but still peculiar.
- Theo Fox

They didn't have a specific interview day, but most of the bigger name players met with the media and took questions before the last game of the year.

If you go to the website, they have videos of them on Blackhawks TV. It starts on April 26th.

Kane
Jones
King
Toews

They have some additional videos of Caleb, Strome, Raddysh, and Seth again after the Buffalo game, I think.

Turcotte? no, to me he is behind Dach in development.

I would start with their #1 pick Villardi , Brandt Clarke their # 1 pick at 8 and their best defensive prospect. The rest of the details, Hawks sending later picks, Kings sending later picks etc. etc. is too much for me to figure out. Maybe KD should switch out Villardi for Fergamo, that would be better for the Hawks IMO also.

Murphy has a ten team no trade list when his new contract kicks in July. It would be easier to trade him anywhere before then.

If you were Ottawa would you? I don't think Murphy is worth a top 10, 1st round pick but maybe if the UFA market is too high priced AND trade market is non existent....maybe?

You know the more I think about trading DeBrincat the more I start to lean towards a "no" only because the return you get HAS to hit because of now you don't have any younger kids in the system trending to be a top 6 player as of now.....If you had a Caufield or Zegreras already here, it would make trading him 100% a lot easier....but Dach is still an unknown as is Reichel.

You are left with Strome IF you resign him and again....take away better players from him and does hie produce? Does he make others around him better OR does he need better players to play with to hit his ceiling in regards to ability?

Man...I don't envy Davidson's position at all.....as the ole E1-5 likes to say, so many dominoes hit depending upon the direction...I don't think it's as clear as I thought it was...

You keep DeBrincat, you likely resign Strome and kane reups and you roll out that line and take pressure off of whatever younger kids you have behind them who are slotted to be impact players.

You trade DeBrincat, you likely don't resign Strome and deal him, and you deal Kane....and then you have to not only get a nice package back for 2 of 3 (12/88) but you also then have to turn those picks into impact players which likely takes a few years down the road.....

Again...what an absolute crap show Bowman left Davidson. Can't say that enough.

No way Murphy is worth a top 10 pick but does have value as a right handed stay at home defender. Imo he best utilized as shut down pairing or paired with a puck moving left d man. Buffalo is another team looking for right handed d man like Murphy or Seth Jones to pair with dahlin or power.

I agree.....have to think that Buffalo owner is going to make a splash at some point.

Ottawa GM came out and said pick 7 is open for business if they can acquire an impact player.

Think Colorado ends STL season tonight.....and from there Mike Smith is going to have to be a magician when the wagon starts ramping up with all that speed coming at him with Keith, Nurse, etc trying to hold off.....

Buffalo has 3 1st round picks maybe hawks can get a deal done for the 16th pick or the other later pick.

Looking only at ADB, KD is in a win-win situation. He doesn't have to shop 12. People will be lining up to offer packages for a very young, established 41 goal scorer, who has shown the desire and ability to improve his overall game.

If he doesn't get an offer that he feels is good enough, he just keeps said great player.

Regarding the second bolded. I would 100% expect this process to take at least a few years. As you said, there is not a lot left in the cabinets. Unless KD is able to acquire some high end prospects/young players and not just picks, this will definitely take a lot of time.

We've been discussing the trade values of Debrincat and Murphy alot. Let's change gears and talk about Dach. This is purely speculation but say KD isn't enamored with him and wasn't on the same page with Bowman and Kelly when he was drafted. He may a possible trade piece if Kane and Toews don't waive and KD doesn't want to break up the Kane, Strome and Debrincat line.

So what's he worth and who would be possible suitors?

Boston if Bergeron doesn't re-sign? Can the Hawks pry away prospect Fabian Lysell and another piece from the Bruins?

Vegas? Maybe they free up cap space by trading Karlsson and need a center. If defense oriented Trotz is named coach he would like Dach as a responsible defensive forward. Dadanov and Brendon Brisson in return with Dadanov being flipped at the TDL for other assets?

If David Savard was worth a first round pick, Murphy is. But I agree, he is not worth a first pick in the top 15 at least.

I think we are going to see Defensemen traded away before Dcat (or Kane, Toews)

If I understand correctly, they do not have any salary retention starting next season. I think Tyler Johnson could be traded with salary retained along with a defenseman.

What teams need a center be first question and what the return be? Boston Seattle Detroit are teams that come to mind needing a center.

Backstrom of the Caps having some hip issues and may require surgery per this story. They may be another team looking for a center.

Considering the current glut, I would assume that one or two of the prospect D-men would be included in a trade or two. I wouldn't be surprised if KD isn't on board with some of the recent picks.

At the same time this could be a warning sign, 3-5 years we may be in a similar position as the Kings.
