That seems like a fairly large presumption to make.

if the trade goes through, one would think that it would already be negotiated.

league minimum because they want to be here..

Kadri will probably end up getting more than he deserves so i think we need to stay away unless he will take 3-4 years

What would a trade offer for Dubois look like in your opinion. Are you willing to give up the 9th pick, what prospect would you add. What would your offer be. And don't include Mitts, can tell you from seeing offers, Mitts doesn’t have much value.

Isn't the issue with Ryan Johnson that any team that holds his rights basically has no team control, as he can just play his senior season and sign anywhere he likes?

Same goes for Portillo, no?

It's not like Levi's status when Buffalo traded for him, where they had team control for more than a single season.

- kingcong39

pretty sure the late second that would be given to the sabres if johnson does not sign, would carry over to whatever team owns his rights next year

you think it's more than Reinhart + Risto? Cause the comparables are almost spot on. Maybe Dumba holds a bit more weight than what Chuck perceives Risto to be, which is why I gave up more in my offer.

Not like he has much value anyway. He's a late bloomer and he's still not even that good. At this point, Casey Fitzgerald is a better defenseman.

what's kinda odd is that Filip Johansson was barely mocked for the 3rd round. The selection was puzzling at best.

So a bit of a personal note/question. I am taking a course to get my motorcycle license and I get the road test waiver this weekend. I don't know much about bikes but I know enough to get a bike that is fairly light and that I should tool around on local roads for a good long time before really venturing out. I don't want to get a true starter bike like the bikes that we use in class as I feel that I would outgrow them pretty quickly. My thinking is that I would get a bike in the 400lb - 500lb range (like the Honda Shadow) and practice on that on the local 30 mph road (I live right off of West River on Grand Island and that is pretty remote).

Any thoughts or recommendations on anything related to this?

I started on an SV650 and loved it.

Suzuki Savage is an easy been around forever bike. And there are some cool kits to change them into neat stuff (Ryca).

I’ve had a Harley sportster. Also pretty easy all around.

I’ve ridden a few Honda Groms. They are hilarious and fun. Not a highway bike!

Maybe a ktm Duke 390.

Best advice I think, go sit on stuff… see what you feel comfortable on.

And for fun, just go test ride the can am ryker…. Or a spyder. I absolutely love my spyder. All the fun. 1/2 the worries.

Wild Prospect Filip Johansson Signs Two-Year Extension In Sweden
DECEMBER 15, 2021

The Wild have been waiting for a while to get prospect defenseman Filip Johansson under contract and it appears they’ll have to wait even longer now as his club team in Frolunda announced that they’ve inked the blueliner to a two-year extension through the 2023-24 season. The 21-year-old was a first-round pick of Minnesota (24th overall) back in 2018 but has remained in Sweden since then, spending time at the Allsvenskan level after being drafted before transferring to Frolunda last season. So far this year, he has seven points in 26 games while his average ice time is up to 17 minutes per game.

What’s particularly notable here is that if the Wild don’t sign Johansson by June 1st of next year, they lose his rights. In that case, they would receive the 24th selection of the second round in the 2022 draft which would be 56th overall. However, since Johansson was a first-round pick, the NHL’s transfer agreement with Sweden permits them to sign the rearguard to an entry-level deal and have Minnesota controls where he plays. At that point, he could be loaned back to Frolunda or kept in North America. Lots can change over the next five and a half months but this will be a situation to monitor for the Wild.
