the reinhart deal structure should be relevant here. the next question is, how much is dumba worth (extension assumed). Ristolainen? Less? More?
So let's see. Reinhart was a presumed late 1st and a prospect. career/age wise, Fiala is very similar. Sam can play center, while fiala's most recent season was an 80 point player. I don't see why 16 and Johnson couldn't get this done.
Now Dumba. Philly paid a mid 1st, a 2nd and a spare part for one year of Risto, hoping to extend him. The Sabres could offer Mittelstadt and that same Philly pick and I bet it comes really (frank)ing close.
The fans don't want Johnson but that doesn't mean Billy doesn't. Swap in Portillo maybe instead, but I think the 2nd offered below turns into a 3 or 4.
Fiala, Dumba (extensions assumed)
16, 2023 2nd, Mittelstadt, Johnson. Minor parts if necessary. |

They are going wacky over there. They want 9 and one of Dahlin Power Cozens included for PLD |

Gonna sing a different tune if PLD wants or has to get traded. If he's not willing to re-sign, guess who isn't going to get 9 and Dahlin for a 2C.

He's a good prospect and regardless of him wanting to sign with Buffalo or not, he's a luxury piece and should be used on an active player. imo. |

If you enjoy going to music festivals, try Forecastle in Louisville someday.
No country music, which was the best part of it.

Even in the case of Jack Eichel, though, antics aside, his beef with the organization (the surgery itself) turned out to be at least somewhat legitimate. You can take issue with how he handled it, as I do as well, but in the big picture, his employer wouldn't allow him to get a procedure that his medical team suggested, so he found another employer that was willing to. You can find examples of people making bigger issues for less in just about any industry. - buffalofan19
Its how he went about airing out the dirty laundry to the whole hockey world.
Unwritten rule #1. He broke the rule and payed for it this year.
Good riddance.

Good thoughts taco
Fiala for 28 and levi (maybe portillo) instead of levi
Dumba for 16 (similar to risto's 1st), risto 2nd from phili and probably another 2nd IMO.
If I remember correctly, hagg was valued at a 2nd rounder. I think we took him for cap reasons. |

So a bit of a personal note/question. I am taking a course to get my motorcycle license and I get the road test waiver this weekend. I don't know much about bikes but I know enough to get a bike that is fairly light and that I should tool around on local roads for a good long time before really venturing out. I don't want to get a true starter bike like the bikes that we use in class as I feel that I would outgrow them pretty quickly. My thinking is that I would get a bike in the 400lb - 500lb range (like the Honda Shadow) and practice on that on the local 30 mph road (I live right off of West River on Grand Island and that is pretty remote).
Any thoughts or recommendations on anything related to this? |

Isn't the issue with Ryan Johnson that any team that holds his rights basically has no team control, as he can just play his senior season and sign anywhere he likes?
Same goes for Portillo, no?
It's not like Levi's status when Buffalo traded for him, where they had team control for more than a single season. |

potentially. i guess the other side of the deal is the presumptive signing with the wild.

you think it's more than Reinhart + Risto? Cause the comparables are almost spot on. Maybe Dumba holds a bit more weight than what Chuck perceives Risto to be, which is why I gave up more in my offer. |
