it matters. but not in the sense that you stated, for sure.

the org finally had an epiphany about how you actually build a team, and dylan is a teamer and a gamer.

What I really meant was, things can change in an instant. He can go from "I love it here" to "get me out of here" and then back to "I love it here" again in a very short period of time. I don't see that happening, but unless things were to turn real sour and he started making a big visible stink, I'm not worried about it either way.

I really believe the ",buffalo guys" kyvyv is preaching.

Clean out the rest of the players who dont like it here.

Cozens could be sick of losing too?

I appreciate the 🌮 post, and trust his information

i dont think what they accomplished this year would be considered 'losing' in the sabres' traditional sense.

this year's entire mission was individual development. almost every single developing player, and even some vets, grew their games or had renaissance seasons. that was the goal, the entire intention. adams and granato specifically stated they loved what they saw, but 'have a long way to go'. they know they need to build. so to avoid a 'what's an acceptable offseason' conversation, i think they think they 'won' the season, will build upon it, and will finally push for a playoff spot next season. the offseason and the moves that are made will clearly define this year's intentions.

I'd agree with that. Some people are fickle, some take a long time to be so drained, and some are Jack Eichel.

I'm once again asking for the Sabres to trade Johnson and 16 for Fiala. 7x7 ext.
- TheSabresTaco

I don't hate the idea of bringing Fiala here by any means, but do you really think this team gets the 85 point version of the guy year in and year out? I know he's still young (25), but that big of a jump in a career high from prior years tends to suggest an outlier. That being said, if we're okay giving 7x7 for a 65-75 point Fiala, then fair enough. The proposed trade cost to acquire him doesn't phase me.

I am ok with the price tag and knowing his game and history. Ideally I'd like a 6.5 like Sam, but you're buying 6 UFA years instead of 2. You'd like to think that Fiala's history would make a team friendly deal more likely, despite the 85 point single season.

Even in the case of Jack Eichel, though, antics aside, his beef with the organization (the surgery itself) turned out to be at least somewhat legitimate. You can take issue with how he handled it, as I do as well, but in the big picture, his employer wouldn't allow him to get a procedure that his medical team suggested, so he found another employer that was willing to. You can find examples of people making bigger issues for less in just about any industry.

no need to reopen this 50 gal drum of worms, but in short, yes. my only beef (again, two to tango) was the trade requests prior to the injury.

how cool would it be if 16 turns into an impact player. top 3-4 D, top 6 F, 55+ points.

He undoubtedly is. I personally know this.

No need to worry about Dahlin either.

I was told that all the losing was negatively impacting the boys to the point most of the core would be thinking of getting out.

No thank you. This team needs to use that money for an elite player.

No, I don’t know where we are getting one. But we need one.

Other wise we will become the hurricanes

i said 16, i dont know if 28 comes close to similar offers for him. being a team with multiple firsts this year gives us a huge advantage, if kevo likes him.

Are you implying that Fiala isn't at least bordering on elite? Minnesota isn't an offensive juggernaut, and not even counting this year, the two years prior you are looking at a 30 goal 70 point player at the age of 23/24. Sure is bordering on elite if you ask me.

1 game away from the Eastern Conference Finals

7 million a year is not what it used to be. $7 million is nothing in terms of percentage to the cap.

They don't want Johnson, they tell me they have enough LD prospects coming up. Last night they wanted 9, 28 ++ for Dumba and Fiala. I told them they were nuts with the contract situations.
