The biggest choice to be made this offseason is if the Sabres want to continue to be losing losers that are okay with failure or if they want to start winning like winners. Make moves to improve the team, show the guys that management has their backs. There's no shame in losing as long as you tried and will try again. It's time to shift from the dreadful culture of being okay with losing for high draft picks.

Tanking doesn't work. Hasn't worked for us, it's more about getting lucky and having a bad season in the right year like Toronto, Colorado, and now Montreal. I'd rather watch a team make it to 17th than 32nd, at least it's interesting.

It'll be an interesting conversation to have depending on where his game is at in 3 years. For now, with the cap situation, his NMC, his contract and the Sabres' need for scoring, I think the chances of him getting moved/bought out in the next two years is essentially 0%

After 2 years there will be a slight chance, and after the third year there will be a real decision to make.

For now, he's still got game and the Sabres need him for a number of reasons. He's overpaid but it is what it is. It's not a problem right now. It's actually helpful

I appreciate the attempted discussion spark, but this seems wildly out of bounds for GMKA and his slow-play draft, develop, and wait approach.

Im keeping my expectations at an absolute minimum. He probably goes bargain bin/reclamation project in net, maybe a meager addition to the blue line, and stands pat with rookie addition to forwards. Kevyn is in no rush at all.
