I think the pressure got to him a bit as he seemed to really be gripping his stick tight (on several occasions he lost the puck as he was getting into shooting position).

The Canadians are playing a lot of non-NHL built teams. While the Canadians are "stacked", there are still teams with reasonably comparable talent, which includes the nordic and American teams. The ruler shouldn't be pulled out until they play those teams.

Yeah the kid needs a reset. But he was definitely in a 20 game slump.

I love Cozens, but using plus minus and box score in the WC isn't exactly a gauge. If anything, if he wasn't playing up to this ability, I'd be a bit concerned.

Trotz is the more proven coach, unless you have crystal ball we don't know if he's the better coach to get us to the promise land with these players that will be on the roster.

Can you share? Good info, and I agree. He’s got a very heavy and accurate wrist shot and he grossly underutilized it this year. Pass first mentality.

Other than Scotty Bowman I don't think a coach has won with multiple teams.

This is by far the best coach we've had since Lindy. The problem with your suggestion is the following:

- Donnie has proven that he can get the most out of the kids
- After so many years of darkness everything is pointing up
- You have absolutely no reason to think that Donnie isn't as good of a coach as Trotz
- We don't know that another guy wouldn't come in here and Ralph all of the good things that have happened

Don't get me wrong - if Donnie hadn't come along I'd be all for Trotz. Donnie has more than earned this job and I'd be scared to death of someone else coming in.

I agree that the AR coach, after Ralph, definitely had an advantage of just not being Ralph. Next year is a big year as expectations are high. Personally I'd rather take that chance with Trotz. Waiting one more year to see what he can do isn't the smart move unless Trotz wouldn't consider coming to Buffalo.
