I honestly don’t think I’ve disagreed with a coach decision in any sport as much as I did with that one I still can’t believe it. And he pulls him when the puck is leaving the zone!!

Btw biggest game of the year and giroux the faceoff guy went under 50% at the dot...as did barkov. Gonna be tough to sleep tonight. Not for those guys though. Barkov wanted this season over so he can get closer to his 10 mill paydays

And with the fantastic playoff format we are forever doomed to face vasi and tampa every year that we make the playoffs. Ùugggghhhhh this was supposed to be the year. The table was set, home ice all the way through. Fail!

I was at the game and man the final 2:30 the arena was electric and buzzing. I hope it came across on TV just how wild the atmosphere was for that PP/PK to end the game.

Vasy just stomping on souls all game long, you could see Panther players talking and shaking their head after some plays. Florida could have done better at getting more high danger chances and I think both Verghaeghe and Exblad hit the posts but those posts are a product of knowing if you are going to beat Vasy it has to be a perfect shot.

One more tidbit from the game. An older Lightning fan who had to be in his late 80's said man Vasy has the best legs I have ever seen outside of Marilyn Monroe. He was hilarious all night, quick witted and jovial. I hope I am like him at his age.

Vasilevskiy used the Leafs to warm up and get dialed in. Once he got into the zone, he's almost impossible to beat cleanly. It's almost unfair. He has the steady reliability of Brodeur and the flexibility and agility of Hasek. If there was a Mount Rushmore of goalies, Vasi would be earning his place on it.

A lot of blame and anger being directed at Florida's star players, but the Cats threw ~50 shots at Vasi and 82 total shot attempts. They hustled all night and won most of the puck races and corner battles. The effort was there. But, it seemed like most of those shots were one and done. A lot of shots from the perimeter and not much action in the slot or crease area. Vasi didn't have to be brilliant in this game, just solid.

Also, I don't think you can blame Bob for this. He earned his caphit in this series. It's hard for a goalie to win games when his team can't score for him.

I know i am very upset and i would hope most if not all panthers fans are as well. To lose is one thing but to lose without even putting up a fight is quite another. All the wasted draft picks on those brought in. And to be shutout for the very 1st time all season in the most important game of the year is absurd. Im not a bandwagon guy i dont jump around from team to team but this panthers team set an all time let down for me. It was easier when we were poopy every year and you just knew how it was going to be
