It's almost like the whole team just forgot this is playoffs and each shift matters. No life, pathetic effort on the big guns part, bread man has been lazy, krieder invisible minus the pk he takes, strome awful, just a bunch of overpaid players skating around not wanting to put in any effort. Did Reaves even throw a serious body check? College kids put in more effort than this. Pathetic . - nagyfasz

The saddest part of this, If the offense just showed up a little bit it’s probably 2-0 rangers heading home |

David Quinn can't coach.
Gallant can, but he coaches the wrong system for the players the Rangers have. |

You may be right. But at the same time, the players are showing deficiencies in attacking the puck to force turn overs and win battles along the walls. That is a big problem.
The Canes close the gap on the other teams players with the puck really quickly, and the Rangers don't until it is too late. |

Gallant is just too stubborn, similarly like Quinn was, to make adjustments and chances during the game.
They should go back to LAF on the Zib like, put Kakko with Strome/Panarin, Copp and Vatrano with Chytil. Give the canes a different look. |

That could work. I’d even consider breaking up Panarin and Strome. There’s been no chemistry there all postseason. Try Panarin with 2 guys who can make space for him. He also needs to shoot every open look he gets, especially in a game where so few made it to the net. Laf passed up a really good scoring chance too. |

For sure. Canes haven’t tested Igor much. The top 6 has been bad. It comes down to gallant not having a system or these top 6 players are consistently inconsistent |

-We’re in better shape now then we were down 3–1 vs Pens. We still have 3 home games left as opposed to 2. We came to life back at MSG, now is the time to do it again.
-Carolina is a light years ahead of Pittsburgh defensively. It’s a night and day difference. But our defense is night and day aswell. Carolina is just as putrid offensively as we are, and that was in their building. I’m much more encouraged by these two losses than I was the whole series we won. They CAN hang with these guys, they aren’t dominating by any means. It also shows that they can play any type game a team plays which also bodes well for the future.
-Milk carton guys: The PP is killed them tonight. First time all season that it has. Once that falters it’s very hard to get the offense game back for these guys. But again, the Canes are literally the best defensive team in the NHL. No one said it would be easy. They tire you out, and next thing you know the shift is over. Rinse repeat all game. I’m not bailing on them now after I already did. Keep the faith
-Speed. They need it and need it quick, like Sunday. I love Reaves, but he has to sit. He’s to slow and he can’t even get to a check in time to make it hurt. It’s pointless to have him in there. I’d go with a Gauthier but settle for Jbrod or Hunt. They need the 4th line to do more damage on the D. Their D barely got hit tonight. And Zac Jones…why won’t he play? Now your down 2-0 you obviously need something different. Braun has been fine, but he’s slow as molasses. They need more offense obviously. You all think I’m crazy, but he would help speed and transition
-Shake up the lines. Swap Vatrano and Copp or Strome, and see what happens.
I know these losses hurt, but honestly I’d rather have them this year where they can learn from it and EXPERIENCE it now, rather than down the road. They’re building something great, and the benefits will be seen down the road. |

Who i cheer for doesn’t make u guys any better or worse
Just gives u something to deflect about
But i guess it’s easier for you to talk smack about the Sabres then to face the truth about your own team

I agree with most of this, it’s not like Carolina is getting a ton of high danger chances too, they scored short handed and failed on a 5 on 3. But yea, the Rangers need to be way better |

Wow talk about shut down playoff hockey!! Canes are doing it better than the Rangers, their experiences have taught them well. Yet again the series could be 2-0 Rangers!! Canes have neutralized Panarin and Zibby and have been pounding the poop out of Fox. We knew it was going to be a tough series but it is nice to be in a game where we are able to win or tie it in the final minutes of the game. |
