There are always possibilities.

You're second deal is probably worse than the just Miller for 2OA +

I think involving another team would be smart. Buffalo.

NJ swaps 2oa, Zacha to Buffalo for 9oa and 16oa, Girgensons

NJ then trade 9oa, 34oa, Reilly Walsh to Van for Miller

I know one thing for sure, you and I will never work in an NHL front office

Well tonight it’s the Battle of Alberta featuring the 2 best teams in the NHL since the Allstar break. Should be a hard fought battle. I’m agreeing with Lefty and Mikita, Flames in 6!

They snuck some Minor Threat onto the list. Nice. Love Ian MacKaye. One of the best live shows I ever saw was Fugazi at a Curling rink out here.

After the concession Kassian took in an earlier fight against McEwen, he’d be stupid to fight again. Oh wait it’s Kassian!

Tough news out of Sweden as Canucks prospect Hugo Gabrielson will undergo shoulder surgery in June and will be unavailable for the Canucks development/prospects camp in mid-July.

He expects to return to action in November and will miss the first couple of months in Allsvenskan.

Nichuskin should be someone Canucks look at on the free agent market. Has the 2 way intelligence that most of the Canucks roster doesn't have.

Canucks should try and find the next Nichuskin. Until this year Val was never a half a PPG player in any season.

26 year old season he goes 52 in 62 games.

Sweden has activated Jacob Peterson of the Dallas Stars and Carl Grundström of the Los Angeles Kings.

Not a great sign for Linus Karlsson, who has not played for Sweden at the World Championships.

Better news with that 2nd round pick Van is getting from NJ they can select

David Quadrelli

Owen Pickering was an absolute delight to talk to and I now am fully on board with the Canucks trading down to select him as a result.

The disconnect between Rutherford's comments and this Boudreau interview is something else. Basically indirectly disagreeing with Rutherford's assessment of the team.

Major changes coming just not with a coach who has a completely different assessment of how the season went.

Playing on (one of) the best team in the league helps with that. It’s why tragic Canuck players look better when they move on -> Gudbranson, Eric.

Behold Pavel Mintyukov, one of the CHL's best play-creators. The third-best playmaking season I've tracked from a DY defender. A scoring chance machine. Just as impressive everywhere else.

@eliteprospects ranked him as the No. 7 prospect for the #2022NHLDraft.

Great numbers playing on a very poor team this year.

His game reminds me of Sergachev's in Jr. a lot of risk reward.

How come he wasn't as good for the 2 previous seasons then?

This is a pretty narrow view. Differences in opinion aren't always representative of disconnect. They can also be the source of changes and growth.

I haven't watched the interviews but the takes you'll get from Taj are about as consistent and intelligent as a 5 year old.

I like Taj tweets because then I don't have to listen to the rest of the garbage that is Van media. Guy sums it up nicely.

Boudreau: We may have not had the best entries or exits but we were a top 5 defensive team in the league so we must have done something else right...

(Canucks Central)

Riccio asked Boudreau about Rutherford referencing how much Demko factored into the team's success.

Boudreau: I don't know, it's a point of contention, I agree we rely on the goalie but every team relies on the goalie. We had some deficiencies in other places.

I think Rutherford and Boudreau are talking about two different aspects of the game really.

Pretty used to the "hot takes" crowd. Scrolling past isn't much of a problem

How about this Toronto analyst

5 Canucks Thoughts
@5Canuckss

Jamie McLennan on overdrive brings up #LeafsForever doing a lateral move to change things up- mentions Nylander for JT Miller..

#Canucks

Maybe just maybe if Toronto adds Liljgren

Rutherford & Co. are just trying to impress ownership with the 'big changes coming' attitudes.

Bruce knows what's going on.
