Pens fans were ripping Hextall for his signing extension of Jeff Carter after their playoff loss. Whoops!! - Phillywhiteout
Right cause Carter was the issue - that team is softer than a mypillow.. |

Seemed to be a very good Captain to me. Gave everything he had when he played. - MJL
As a paying fan - I’d say 18 gave his all every night. Watching him play was a joy. Wish everyone had his heart. |

I'd like to see what happens if Provorov is traded to a good team. - MJL
Who cares..
At that point the only thing that would matter would be the return.
What someone does after they are traded is absolutely irrelevant. |

I never thought I’d ever cheer for Florida. Giroux aside, I think Bob needs playoff respect. Obviously we love Hagg and Gudas. I’ve always wanted DuClair on the Flyers. That’s a huge miss in my opinion. |

Eaten alive and Point didn’t even play. What will this be 10’ series wins in a row. Unreal. |

HEART OF A CHAMP BABY.
Love the fact that Panthers were unable to score even that token goal when down by 3. And that this was without Point. Every game they eke out without him gives them room.
HEART OF A CHAMP
Also, are the Blues playing the strategy: we will just give them chance after chance so that they get tired out?

Eaten alive in a 4-1 game where the shots were pretty much even. Two of the goals coming on two late power plays. The Bolts are the raining Cup championships. If there was ever a team to get “eaten alive” by, it’s them. Just a reminder, they’ve won a cup without Stamkos. That’s how deep the Bolts are.

You mean another retool won’t make this team a contender? |

Would be nice....but Colorado has been building this team since 2011, and it includes a 1st overall pick, 2nd overall, 2×4 overall, 10th overall and 16th overall draft picks, supplemented by various trades and signings. Philadelphia is light-years away from being anything like that team unfortunately. |

Good thing rebuilds don’t work.
Great game by the Avalanche. Love to see St Louis, and Boston lose. |

It’s really quite funny to me that the Flyers are seemingly trying to build to be like Dallas, when they have a truly perfect chance to commit to a full rebuild here.
The individuals leading the direction of this team are incompetent morons. The same men were cheering for St Louis to win that overtime, and that says everything one needs to know. |

Honestly, the Flyers “retool” because Philadelphia notoriously cannot handle a rebuild. You guys can’t even handle one season or one bad game. Toronto was bad for a decade. Tampa Bay was also bad for a decade. Aves, Oilers etc. You think the Flyers have been bad? No, they’ve been Mediocre and than become impatient because the fans are impatient with all 4 sports teams they have, openly throwing fits at games when they’re not good. Other franchises drag their teams through the mud until they find the best collection of players possible. The Black Hawks and Penguins just now coming off ten plus years of success, after being on the verge of bankruptcy. Like, the Flyers need to be really bad before they’re great again. |

It all comes down to how long it takes the Flyers to obtain high end players. Tampa was not contending until Kucherov and Point came into their own to supplement Vasey, Hedman and Stamkos. If the Flyers draft well and get lucky with development they can get back in the mix within a few seasons. If not, it could be a decade. For example, how much better would the Flyers be right now if Nolan Patrick was the dominant player the Flyers hoped he would be? |

You start off by referring to TB and a process that took years to put together and then claim the Flyers can get back in the mix within a few seasons. First of all when were they in the mix? Secondly, do you actually watch hockey? Unless you're drafting generational stars, it takes more than a few seasons for player development after drafting. For example, it is highly unlikely that the player the Flyers draft in the upcoming draft will be an impact player for the Flyers in the next two seasons. |
