Not saying he's the best chance, but he's a good buy low candidate.

Personally, I just cant shake the feeling that the core still has it in them to produce when it matters...its just surrounding them with depth is the issue and staying healthy at the right times, not just the core but the rest of the team as well. There's no doubt in my mind if Jarry doesn't go down or Sid for a game and half, they are playing the Canes tomorrow night. Also, if there's an influx of new players, or younger guys coming up, I really do believe Sully is the man for the job.

Kris Letang said he and Ron Hextall made it clear to each other that they wouldn't mention where things are with contract talks to anyone.

Asked if he'd give the Penguins the chance to match any offer he gets, he laughs and says, "Of course."

Kris Letang: "The main goal is to stay here and play in Pittsburgh."

Kris Letang said he sees himself playing another 4-5 years.

This sounds somewhat encouraging.

Malkin on playing with Crosby and Letang: "It's amazing. They are like my two brothers, one Canadian, and one French Canadian. It's not just hockey, it's life. We spend so much time together. Sid is an amazing guy. He's my favorite player, my favorite guy."

Malkin doesn't sound that confident he'll be back, though I still think he's the most likely to return.

Sullivan and Crosby disputing (Rossi's) report he was cleared for game 6.

Dunno how you can when you've got clowns like Mark Madden feeding the Yinzer nation garbage every day from 3-5PM. Dude's been trashing Madden for years, and all the fans eat it up because they think Madden knows hockey.

I'm going to suggest the new ownership group that just paid 900M isn't going to run the team into the ground to try to extend a window for Crosby, Malkin, and Letang that is likely already closed

As coincidence(?) would have it, I just left here and popped over to Facebook and the first story in my newsfeed was footage from Liverpool's locker room of them celebrating their FA Cup win haha

Don't think the Pens can statistically replace Geno or Letang without spending more money. Replacing them with more expensive players will be more damaging then getting Geno cheaper than market value, or paying Letang what he's due.

If you’re not spending futures I wouldn’t call trying to improve the team in other ways running them into the ground.

And here I think they should try to spend futures to improve the time. Throw a few first round picks for someone if they're worth it. (frank) it. Load up as much as possible.

Until they pick in the top 10, as long as they are for established players in their early 20s I agree.

What Feds said, trading futures (not that we have many to trade). Not talking about Malkin or Letang

Oh, okay. Personally, I'm down for whatever. I do think these guys still have it in them, I really do. In a year from now? Maybe not, maybe so, but I would hate to see them having great seasons surrounded by a lesser roster and maybe not make playoffs....because they just want to make the playoffs. They know and believe anything can happen once you do because its true. Pens fans this year feel like Caps and Preds fans, and even Jackets fans, did in 2017.

Yeah, like I just replied to Tojo, I'm down for whatever. If they want to spend like that to load up, lets do it, if they want to be conservative for the future, I'm fine with that too. I understand the potential pros and cons to both. If Hex is sticking around you have to think its going to go the conservative route, though.

I know a lot of the fans are willing to keep going all in. I'm questioning if the new owners will.

Yeah I hear ya, and rightfully so. They are definitely a wild card in this summer haha. We have no idea how this will all shake out. Very interesting times for the Pens.

If you tear it down are you trading Crosby? That’s the elephant in the room if you will.

Have to think that sid has a few good years left and they’d like to capitalize on that. Just paid a ton for the team, so just making the playoffs should at least sell tickets & merch. I’d imagine they didn’t buy the team to trade sid, but I know nothing bout their intentions, or running a sports franchise in general, haha.

I would hate to see him go, but I think I would hate to see him attempting to prop up sh!tty team even more.
