No idea if those 3 year contract offers were true. I have my doubts considering Rossi is a clown and creates drama more than he reports on it.

However, whether its true or not, this story would be more likely to leak from Letang/Malkin's camp as a justification as to why they are leaving. They would show this as evidence that the Penguins were never interested in keeping them.

Seems Hextall's in limbo, but how can you let a guy in limbo plan out your offseason? I feel like if you're going to make a change, you need to make one soon. And my friend said Sully is safe. He said FSG isnt going to fire him and he cant imagine a new GM would come in and fire him. He's well respected around the league.

Jeff Carter fully earned those minuses in the series, he was atrocious anywhere but in the faceoff dot or standing 6 inches outside the crease on the goalie.

Wonder if the new owners would want us to go after top FAs. They potentially could want us to be more aggressive and really change the team up for next season.

Yeah then there’s the fact that McGinn and Zucker both don’t do poop to help him lug the puck up ice, he usually starts his shifts in the Defensive zone and he was the teams second leading goal scorer in these playoffs. I think he needs better wingers and less responsibility.

Betts wanted $420M, FSG offered him $300M. Betts eventually signed for $365M in LA. Salah was asking for 24M (pounds), they are now close to a deal at 20M.

I think this would be more under the tough but fair, rather than ruthless.

On another note, FSG also ran thru 3 managers in their first 2+ years. I don't have time to research into this at the moment. It does tell me they want the best and will settle for nothing less. So I think we're in for some interesting times.
