Power was a dman and was committed to college. Wright is in junior where he has already dominated and can’t go to the Ahl or college. He will be in the nhl next year with the Habs or another team.

player will want the money and the chance to play, the team will do what's best medium/long term for the team and the player to develop to his potential.

oh I agree, I didn't mean they should let the player decide, but the way he plays should dictate what happens.

I think so too but team makes the final decision ultimately. Up to him to earn his spot, the other option of going back to Jrs sucks though, wish he could go to the AHL and develop there. Europe is the only other option but with the KHL being a mess, lots of players will look to play in Europe next season, giving less spots on teams for NA players

Wright will see Laurent Dauphin and Alex Belzile on wings at the faceoff circle for game 1 of the season and he will ask to be sent back to junior.
