A little retool in the off season before we square off against the Bolts in round one next year. Hope we get the 7th game at home again.

Last 3 games neither line scored and the minus was 0.

Perry was -4 for the series. 3 of his line’s goals were in the 7-3 blowout

The impact of both 4th lines was minimal

- jribout

Let me put it another way, was their anyone on the Leafs 4th line that you trust?

I thought signing Bergeron to a 1 year deal so he can teach Wright was our plan.
- Scabeh

If Bergeron doesnt sign with Bruins its cuz he doesn't think they can win the Cup.

His chances of winning Cup with rebuilding Habs isn't any better.

If there is a "Kawhi" moment for Dubas... I wonder if he'd go after Timo Meier or maybe Brad Marchand

At least we got respect in the handshake line this year.

Overkill??

- fifty__missions

Dude why do you keep cheering for the Leafs? Same result year after year. You do nothing to change it up. Are you satisfied being a loser? All you had to do was switch over to TB after their first cup and you would be a winner,

Would I ever luv to see that guy in our lineup for next year. Suppose he'd give us a discount?

You may have gotten used to, and even accepted the losing.

I haven't.

- fifty__missions

You would have been throwing this fit if they lost to Tampa by one goal in game 7 of the semis. Your version of accepting the losing is cup or bust. Everyone else is capable of seeing progression, you just exploit it to further your sky is falling whinefest. It is overkill and it is tiresome.

I'm pissed because if the losing.

It's a (frank)ing party in here at the thought of rolling this thing back next year.

- PatC80

Definitely Kase, Spezza yes and Blackwell yes. Do I expect an impact, no. Just don’t lose it.

3rd line? I would have liked a bit more impact.

Depth is important. But isn’t going to win cups. Your top players have to be your top players. How many 4th line Conn Smythe winners have there been.?
- TurdFergeson

If the top players from each side are a wash then yes - of course depth helps win Cups.

Leafs top players were ~ with TB top players.

So TB depth made the difference.

I agree, the sky isn’t falling. A bounce here or there or better officiating and we’re still playing.
- shack67

Leafs kill that 5-3 in game 6 and the light go out in Tampa.

Maybe you could look at their playoff record.

4-3, outscoring the two time champs isn’t that bad

No, make the team better. We disagree on our assessment of the current state of the team. Your assessment seems to factor in the past x years of losses. Mine looks at significant improvements in their regular season play and a close loss against a very good team. Not good enough but not a catastrophic starting point for work in the offseason

Bit of irony in the you're right the world is wrong take, the world has been here telling you otherwise for pages on end while you pound your chest about the sky falling and it being a fact that it's the same as always.

It's the same if you choose to throw your blinders on and refuse to look at anything beside the 4-3 series result. Consistently telling everyone it's a fact doesn't absolve you from the sheer ignorance that's required to dismiss anything else and settle on that fact and that fact alone.

The leafs may have just lost to the first actual dynasty in 40 years by literally one (frank)ing goal over a 7 game series. Thinking that's how the world ends is completely asinine.

- joel878

Let me ask you this, what if they lose to Florida in 5 or six?

Leafs Nation is split on this one, bud. 👍 Opinions are like bumholes anyway. However, there are 6 straight playoff 1st round exits on the page.

Our third and fourth lines have been a work in progress for a number of years.

Third line is "better", Need to tinker more with the 4th.

Can't trust our" beef" of Simmons and Clifford in big games

- Leafsmart

They still don't have a 4th line that is difficult to play against.
