Canucks aren't rebuilding. I don't see how they trade their legit best player right now.

If he won’t extend he’ll be traded. I think he will sign an extension once he’s able to.

Because they want to shed cap

Rutherford wants to make his mark on this team

Miller has 1 year left and if he isnt re signing he gets traded, VAN is not in a position to use him as an own rental for a year

They are not a contender

Rutherford wants to make his mark, has 0 cap to do anything

If Miller is not re signing he gets traded, VAN is not in a position to use him as an own rental

Special teams. If we win the special teams battle, we win the series.

4 for 28 isn't good enough... They had chances on the PP but couldn't find a way to beat Vasilevskiy

The Toronto PP is 0-18 in elimination games in the last 5 years.

This, more than any other single thing, is why we lose.

This is a core issue - they can't get it done.

And what we pay our core lessens the quality of our bottom 6 forwards, where we also consistently get caved in.

I disagree in that sense.. Their 4th line Perry-Bellemare-Maroon was better than the Leafs 4th line.. That to me was still the biggest difference.

The Leafs 4th line was always changing..

I disagree, tampas 4th line being slightly better at times wasnt really "the" big difference.
The leafs pp not scoring more, had a bigger impact imo in my opinion.

If I could find it back then I would.

But I called Tampa grabbing Paul a sneaky great move for them when the trade happened.

He's a good bottom 6 addition.

Totally. He was a standout for me: at first because of that godawful stride, but then I saw him shutting us down and playing smart/heavy, then those 2 goals, just looked unstoppable.

Nick Paul got lucky.. Rielly was interfered with on his first goal.. Muzzin's stick was held on the second goal..

His 2nd goal was a great individual play by Paul.

I'm giving him full credit.

Meh, he still drove hard to the net, a lot. Ironically it was only Willy that seemed willing to do that, and only the one time.

Actually, they kind of do in the playoffs. Unsung heroes. We don't seem to ever have any on our 4th lines though.

ok fine.. The skate to stick play was solid but that doesn't negate the fact that Killorn should have gotten a holding penalty.
