You don't think they try and get back Mikheyev-Kampf-Engvall?
- Santo_44

unless they trade Kerfoot and sign Mikheyev to Kerfoot's $$$.

if the cap was going by 4mil, I could see Mikheyev staying but it's not.

Joking about innocent people dying because of a little ribbing is very unjust. Ya'll need to look in the mirror.

I think we would've been ok with a loss with a real effort.. That isn't what I was getting at. It was the total no show, Leaf's mailed in Game 4, that's what was bothersome.
- dozerD10

Um, they kinda mailed in game 2 also, on home ice.

Are you suggesting the fans here aren't real? Touchy subject... You should back away slowly...

Erroneous... you think we're not used to this kind of disappointment? We handle it better than any other fan base...

Why are you here? No one here did that. The gentleman you are referring to is not here. We all know the story already and we all agree.

Agree.

But on the flip side it will be explored but only a few changes will be done.

New goalie, more jam in the top 6 over Kerfoot and Holl gone. Thats my prediction.

- Santo_44

I could see a new goalie and top 6 winger and another defenseman being added..

I don't fault Campbell at all, he wasn't the problem.. I just think he'll cost too much. Friedman said that they offered Soup 2.75M per season.. That's no where near enough..

Willy = Ehlers
as long as you are getting the same in return

Go bigger... Nylander, Kerfoot and Mrazek for Hellebuyck and Ehlers.

More Friedman: Don't expect a long term deal with Sandin or Liljegren, thinks both end up with short term deals in that ~$2m range.

Also doesn't sound like Campbell is back. Friedge says Leafs opened with ~$2.75m initial offer, which was far below Campbell's.

Wow. Would not super surprised if JC did not return.

Great guy, good goalie…but it’s fair to not be confident in having him as your starter for a deep run. And I’m not giving him much higher than Driegers 3.5M cap hit.

- Santo_44

What team would pay big for Campbell though if he wants to be a 1A starter at least? Most teams have "their guy" or just poopty guys who can't be moved locked up longterm.

Penguins?
Wild? (no cap space lol)
Sabres most likely to get UPL some more time

Not sure what he can expect.

Mikheyev will likely get $2M.. I don't think he will get more than that.

Engvall would probably come in at $1.5M which is a decent cap hit for him

Why do people want to re-sign soft forwards. Let him walk, use the money on some balls.

I know the Leafs have some hard decisions to make but if the Mrazek signing told them anything, it should be that finding a #1 goaltender for under 4M on the UFA market won't work.

I dare think Campbell would accept 4M per season, but I might be wrong.

First off the original post WAS OFFSIDE, nobody is debating that including the original poster whom I have spoken with.

1. The original post was deleted and the poster dealt appropriately with so you can stop the false narrative that it's been allowed to continue to be left up on here.

2. If you read back you can see my mea culpa that it was missed - yes I'm human believe it or not.

3. It's pretty rich to come here and tell folks to look in the mirror considering the BS that I've seen posted here by folks from the Sabres blog as well as what's posted in there now and in the past specifically about myself and / or Dozzer. Don't worry though, your mod doesn't want to take action on it so your safe because Dozzer and I will show him the respect we committed to & we won't moderate his blog for him. For the record nobody here would be permitted to post that type of thing about any mod including yours but not everyone deals with that stuff the same I guess.

It's cute that you think you have the power to have my referee status revoked. Yes I saw the post in the Sabres thread where some have decided to gather up their pitchforks and light the torches and protest to have me removed as a referee. You and others are free to do so, that's one of the great things about living in the USA or Canada!

My care factor on this issue is pretty low, even if it happened I'd wake up tomorrow and be happy - with a lot less BS to have to deal with to be honest but I can't see it happening because I banned people for trolling but I guess you just never know!

Have a nice day.

I'll give Dubas credit for bringing guys in... Vets ... Gio / Spezz / Brodie / Muzz... that harped on the consistency, effort mantra. With so many young studs.. it may just take a hair longer.

Back to L.A?

Edmonton might need a goalie when Smith retires. Philly can always use a goalie.. Hart hasn't been good. Arizona needs help everywhere
